Not sure what you're trying to ask, but i'll try to answer it

The following is just MY OPINION and may be incorrect or possibly damaging :spam:

This done in what i beieve is my order of performance modification

100% std car - 7psi

Full exhaust system , quality panel filter, bleed valve - 10psi

FMIC - 10psi

aftermarket ECU - 13psi

Upgraded turbo - 18psi

rebuilt engine using quality performance parts - 20psi (pump fuel) / 35psi (race fuel)

All depends on the tunning :D

Boost DOES NOT equal power. Making the engine "breathe" easier and having less flow restrictions produces power. :thanks:

In fact boost produces heat and too much heat results in less power :spam:

Iv heard rumours that if u slap on a TYPE R sticker on the fenders, it gives you 10psi extra boost, just like that, even on non-turbo cars.

thats a vtec sticker you idiot! typeR ones are good for another 1k added to redline

I'm assuming the thread starter is fairly new to all of this so i'll cover the basics, some of which has already been mentioned.

You can just add boost. a bleed valve or ebc will do it. It's virtually useless without freeing up the exhaust first.

In terms of the basic mods, exhaust, intake, intercooler, boost controller, management, injectors & pump, afm, turbo in that order

There is a lot of information floating around, check the sticky dyno thread up the top to give an idea of what mods do what to power.

And for you paulr33 go and die. Im not wanting to blow up my engine. And for the rest of you grow up. Why give stuipd answers when there not needed for? I asked a valid question and i got a valid response why add spam to the board and try and make yourselves feel and sound mad? Get a life.

Maybe if you worded the question a bit better it might make more sense, however looking at the dyno thread at the top of the screen, is a great way to learn what you need to make the power you are after.

PS pauls answer was the exact correct answer to the question you asked

High, Just wondering what sort of mods you can do to a car, any turbo car really weather it be 180sx or a r32gtst. Just wondering what mods let you ahieve a certain amount of more boost? E.G 'blah' adds 1-2 PSI.

dude, chill out, paulr33 is right you know, thats what boost controllers are for. you can turnit down to 2psi if you want to. If you run 10-12psi on a normal engine/turbo, its not going to blow up.

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi 
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
