sidewaymambo
Thanks Pete for the mount.. just off topic, for the wireless camera, what device you connect to the receiver? DV or video cam? BlahBoy
You connect anything that can record an A/V source, so a video camera with external inputs works nicely. BlahBoy
OK Erik, just for you, my dodgy sketch again! You can use it at the front of the car, on the front windscreen, or at the back with the rear windscreen. You use the mini tripod if you need to raise the camera off whatever surface is underneath. For best results, put some tension into the system so that the camera mount is really snug, being pressed down by the windscreen and pushed up by whatever's underneath it - all tightened up so that the camera isn't jumping around. Hope that helps. Perhaps if people take some photos with the camera mount set up in their cars? 3R1K
I tried already guys, You need something to push the mount up otherwise it will fell, It fell around 4 times already, I have no idea why Blahboy. Do you have special technique to fit it on your windscreen? BlahBoy
Erik, Are you using the lever on the side of the mount? It is 'unlocked' when the lever is loose, and you swing it over to lock it in place. On the side with the handle, there's a notch in the rubber skirt that should line up with the left plastic piece that juts up from the top section. Unlock the suction cup, place it firmly against any reasonably flat and non-porous surface (eg glass, metal), and swing the arm over to lock. As everyone who has witnessed this will agree, there is not a snowflake in heck of it falling off by itself. 3R1K
Yeah I did locked it but when it fell down, it seems it unlocked by itself, this afternoon i tried to put water on top of the rubber it works nicely. Can you help me with picture it would be great Erik Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21695-camera-mount/page/7/#findComment-870016 Share on other sites
NRB
Seems to lock onto my window tightly. It's a very tight fit in the rear of an R32GTR - no room for the tripod unless it's placed slightly down the rear seat. I snapped off a couple of pics: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/21695-camera-mount/page/7/#findComment-870446 Share on other sites
sidewaymambo
NRB..in the last pic, if you can adjust one leg of tripod to split sit on other side of rear seat, will make it more stable.. Also you can mount it in front screen, use tripod to hold the front dash board.. NRB
True, but I want to be able to see my dash when on the track - I use it to examine cornering speed (I've got a mount anchored to the rollcage in my mini). I'm also going to check my 0-100km/h time Also, if I have it sitting any further back (to allow tripod to sit on rear shelf) I may not have enough room to fit the digicam. I'll be playing around with it when I've got a suitable digicam anyway. Scotsman
Also make sure your rear window is very clean. Even a little bit of hair jell stuck to it (from your taller friends) will make the suction cap slip. Duncan
we used 2 of these all weekend in the dutton rally and only lost it 3 times in 44 runs which is pretty good considering it included airborn cars and insane dorift...
