What do you guys think of running a innovate wideband into the a V44 on closed loop? The innovates sampling rate is only 12hz so I'm a little worried it isn't ideal for closed loop/WOT corrections.

I'm running an innovate LC-1 with V44 and using closed loop (Wideband V2 setting). To be honest, I'm not sure how much of a difference closed loop works. I think I could see it making corrections to get to the target previously, but now I've retuned all of the light load area using the Mixture Map mode and now it pretty much sits bang on the target even when closed loop is off. I haven't had any experience with WOT tuning though. One beauty of using wideband closed loop is that you can change your target away from 14.7:1. Mine runs a tiny bit leaner at cruise to improve economy.

and you can set far more hysteresis for closed loop operation.... skys the limit

whats the price right now for an r33 gtst?

1650$ is RRP for a link gtst/gtr plug in board . they are pretty strict on it so it should be no more no less . The vipec pricing can be a little wobbly as you have to factor in the state/regional distros and how much markup/discount they are giving to the next supplier in the chain.

link/vipec is still the best ecu in price range by far IMO

so who out there knows if a v88 or link will run a vq35hr? intake and exhaust vct. (hydro int and e,magnetic exh) manual throttles or the twin electric ones..

i dont reckon there would be an issue... happy to ask the question from the horses mouth if you want?

Interesting, how do u compare out of interest

we dont supply anymore, we just send guys to whoever has the best price on what ever ecu best suits their needs (no matter the brand) other wise we need to hold too much stock... having to hold ecus from each brand used to tie up around 15k in stock..... they sell for around $1650 and our tuning charge is between $650 and $850 regardless of ecu, everyone is different.

get a Link G4, the original and cheaper :D

plus you're supporting a Christchurch company... struggling city at the moment :(

from the link website:

History:

Link was one of the very early market entrants twenty years ago. 2010 witnessed a turn-around in the market perception of the Link name thanks to the technical excellence of its product. The launch of the ViPEC brand has seen a new product pitched against high end competitors with outstanding results. Continued clear and unambiguous differentiation is further required to propel the ViPEC name higher

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
