TVR Speed 12. This is the second time in 3 years that this animal has come up for sale. LOL, perhaps it is simply too much car.

I have an article of it from EVO magazine, they say its not too bad once you warm up the fresh slicks and only running the detuned ecu setting. LOL, TVR did truly build the bad bay supercar :(

"It is a one off, horribly dangerous and ugly/beautiful as hell. Torque of the Devil." :P

Thats John Reid's car (ex director of TVR motorsport back in the day) He actually has a pair that are both up for sale. I love the last quote in the add "Torque of the Devil."

Looks bloody hardcore, any specs on it? Im not familiar with TVR cars

It should, John and co built this car with 1 target -- McLaren F1

7.7L V12

approx 880HP

881Nm

1000Kg's

hopefully the racing one will make an appearance in the FIA GT90 competition and play with the McLarens, F40, Porsche GT1's.

and they have a sense of humor :D

I have always liked the TVRs as they have always been a raw sports car with entertaining (read oversteer :D ) handling, good power and great sound. The speed 12 is just off tap!

Not to put a downer on your dreams there mate but to my knowledge you can't actually get one on the road here in Vic due to some BS reason that they don't have a collapsable steering column :D Not sure if this applies to a personal import though...

I'm a fan of TVR's, very cool cars. Don't think too much of their interiors though...

They were an absolute dime a dozen at Le Mans, I was amazed at how many there were in the carpark/camp sites. Most common car their it seemed.

One for you Troy :D

I have to laugh at what Jeremy Clackson said about TVR "TVR seem to build a car, Put in into production, Then Find out what they Handle like"

But...I wouldnt say no to owning one, Id just give it to SK for a week and say "make it steer properly" :D

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
