maybe... but if you want big power out of a nissan.... it's forged piston and rebuilt internals time anyway...

I paid $100 for the T25 Turbo (for silvia remember)

$100 for manifold

$200 in oil lines. intercooler piping and miscilanious gear...

for $400 it's really really cheap....

don't be scared do the work yourself... especially if you can drive your girls car...

it actually gives you an attachment to your car... you built it and it really does give you satisfaction when driving it that you have built it yourself...

I understand the whole just buy a turbo car though... I depends what you want... mine is just a little added boost until I rebuild with forged pistons... 30/37 and custom manifolds...

should be fun... it will still be with the NA motor... just the only thing that doesn't like the boost is the NA pistons.... other than that the motor is virtually identical...

the oil squirters I hear you all say... how many 1000Hp V8's have crank case oil squirters... I've already looked into it and done the calcs(well my mechanical Engineer father did.) and he reckons that sure they are cool but you don't need them....

anyway dudes have fun just remember.... make a plan research and do it cheap.... it's the Garage Spank Moto......

Thanx

it will definately cost more for getting a half cut (i just bought a rear end so i could have rear gtst diff, hubs, breaks and 5 stud :()

with insurance for some reason the car is insured under my name (didnt know) 3rd party (i knew this but thought under my name) as a GTST!

so all im gonna do is say "my engine blew coz it was running bad, so i found a good one and put it in and its fine now heres the engine number"

and yeah :D

Hey all, at school and the PC's are slow as!

I was told yesterday to go 2.25" on my exhaust? 2 people from Sub Zero told me and i dont know what to think?

most of you guys have 2.5" am i right?

im also thinkong of cold air induction and extractors? good idea?

anyway g2g, byes all :burnout:

PS: Hey boxhead, when you get ya new ride you betta still be on this thread!

if you get a 2.5" then make sure you get a good resonator and muffler that takes out the drone. else it will drone and annoy you!

personally, next time around i'd get a 2.25", i think its a bit more responsive with a 2.25".

guys my car might be for sale soon! new job means new car! yay!

i went ahead and got those rims that were on a silvia.

they are 16x7 front and 16x8 rear, and the offset on both is 32mm. They fit perfectly with no rubbing at all on full lock, and no rim hanging out of the gaurd.

I therefore conclude that the correct offset for 16" rims to fit a non turbo R33 GTS is 32mm

Neogt25: i would go with 2.25" piping. If you want 2.5" piping make sure you get at least one resonator and use a good quality muffler (as turtle said). I have 2.5" piping with 2 resonators and a quality muffler (HKS system) and i still get a bit of drone from 2-3k rpm. hope this helps.

well i sold my n/a engine today for 800 without the box :D :D

it is going to be used for an rb25/30deTT buildup going into a vl. the person who bought it had his mate with him who has a rb26/30dett in his own vl

good to see my engine will be contributing to something special

to bad in a vl but lol :D

ARGH CANT WAIT TIL I HAVE MY CAR BACK!

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
