Imagine how much faster Mark n Russ' 34 GTR would be if it ran a Motec instead of that shitter Autronic that their tuners insist on!

i'm telling you motec is not all that. the new ho-tec v69 is much better. they have an R31 silhouette plug-in and a lada niva plug-in too. working on other models to be released soon (wartburg etc). fatz put me onto them. he's been using them since release.

I nowhere suggested the Vi-PEC install was the only thing that has got the car over the line.

[sNIP]

[snipped just enough to make it look bad that is!]

changed the ecu which had a marked effect on the power output and overall engine performance.

You guys really need to have a good read of what is actually written...instead of thinking you know whats going on and drawing conclusions that dont exist.

lol, very tricky

you should be a politician!

Well fair enough I stand corrected. I've been searching for a good plug-in for my Lightburn Zeta..... but I need to know if this Ho-Tec V69 you speak of has the ability to run an additional stepper motor to turn my carburettor mixture knob when it's hits the V-neck that I'm installing? You seem to be the man in the know......

does the pope shit in the woods? is a bear catholic? of course it has advanced cardigan control for your goggomobil dart.

If only I had of installed a ViPec in the diesel TATA I was driving on Sunday, I may have been in with a chance in Open class! They are that GOOD!

LOL, i need to find a product i can rebadge and sell, i wonder if Porsche will let me sell GT2s as Brizasaruses , a cool name for a sports car if ever there was :P Then some viral advertising and i would be set ;)

Big showing for Vi-PEC in its 1st serious event...maybe they can now be considered as a REAL alternative to MoTeC...as they removed the MoTeC that Garth used to run and fitted the Vi-PEC
Scott built the new engine and changed the ecu which had a marked effect on the power output and overall engine performance.

Nice snip Doof...you should be a journalist...never let the actual truth, facts and complete statements cloud what could be a very juicy tale. Well done son.

You can flog off in my hotel room anytime.

So they aren't using one of those ebay power chips????

:P

i don't think mark and russ's r34 is quick cause it runs a motec. it's got a lot of other shit going for it, not least of which is the handsome driver... same as the evo. garth drove the wheels of it to get that 1:12 on a slow track.

Bloody oath, its not the MOTEC, anyone thinking that is an idiot.

ITS THE RB30 THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE :P

Yep top day and great for spectators, $15 get to see some good trade displays of the core stuff relevant, get your car washed and ran on the dyno, $50 for helicopter ride, shuttle bus around the track and an awesome display of tough cars close up and in action.

Johnny Boston did a top job as always. No crashes on the day and not too many car blow ups, track was slow though. The Slot Car had old tyres on front and new on rear main reason it was under steering. New geometry changes and mainly Bilstein PSS9 made a huge difference and fixed oversteer. I noticed Bozman was still pushing that boost button and letting it rip on the COOL down lap, it just loves a thrashing, can't kill it. I could see the tyre smoke after Suttons and to the dog leg from the pits.

The black monster R34 GTR was the toughest car I have seen. What a machine, more in it yet to as its maiden voyage.

Hey Russ I will see you at Dat Nissan Nats then. May as well bring your trophy with me, which has been at my shop. I won it the last two, but no real competition. You guys will be a great draw card and great to compete with you. Are you bringing just the two or three of your GTR’s???

who is this imposter!

ghay!

You shouldn't post sober fatz, you seem to regret it later in the night...

Is this the whoretown? Its just that ive already taken my shirt off.

Oh hai DOOF, I am in the right place.

definately whore town right now :)

I read that this afternoon in dis-belief....has fatz grown up...surely not.

Ahh thanks for the link Adz!

Yeah Adrian - exactly what I meant. Brown's car would be unknown by 99% of people on here and has somwhere between 30-50% of the power of the cars it was competing against.

So 1.12.1 was the quickest lap of the day from the Evo. Very good result there.

Also maybe its a missprint but this John Boston bloke turned up 3 times - 1st in class, 3rd in class and 5th in class. He must be an odd sort of guy.

I'm sure our Vic friends will be pretty cut up to see their mate Brett Middleton come home dead last in the amateur class super lap.

Brett Middleton last. That makes me sooooo happy. The guy is an asshole !! :)

id want him to be 1st....last means he has a possible chance of running up everyones arse!....at least if he's first you can keep an eye on him.

amateur class...very fitting for BM though.

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
