saw this thread on my dj forums and though it would be good one to start here i didnt find one already so yeah

pretty much as topic says what did u miss about the 90's if you were growing up as a kid in the 90's or as a teenagers going out anything

me well im only 20 so i was only growing up but i sure as hell miss

the original teenage mutant ninja turtle on cheeze tv

NBA on free to air tv, Jordan was the biggest thing going around

the afl when it was more of a contact sport and the bumps were insanee

the old school rnb jams...boyz II Men for example

also cannot forget fresh prince of bel air on tv right after school

Definately!

- Real DJ's that used vinyl and knew how to beat mix, scratch, etc (no offense Jay)

- The original Rap/Hip-Hop greats

- The lack of speed cameras

- The good old nights when Lygon and Chappel were huge and you didn't get defected for cruising you car up and down the strips (Hey i was young then and just got my license :D )

- Fuel prices :P

- House prices :) Wish i bought then, sooo much cheaper.

haha none taken dw a few ppl mentioned that on the dj thread...one guy said 50% of dj's wouldnt of been able to make it back then who have today...i no i couldnt well if i tried maybe but sometimes technology helps a great deal....

but yes i wasnt driving but can never forget petrol prices..i always remember watching my old man fill up the range rover and would get like 60 litres for 30 - 40 bucks...would watch the litres grow so much quick than the dollars now its the other way god dammit lol

1.the freindship - there were way fewer narcisits back then

2. the clothes - mustard jeans - chuck tailors - raiders hats etc etc ...

3. the wannabe gang fights in newport (victoria)

4. the people - all you get now growing up these days are guys with there sisters jeans and pirate shirts and those super gay ballarina shoes these f**ks have no substance back then you could talk to any one and prob connect these days pfft forget it lol - FFS YOU LOOK LIKE A TOOL!

6. when the rap/hip hop section in the record store was labeled "New Age" lol!

7. the constant harrasment buy the po po first name basis with most of us in our town

thats all I can remember now. I rekon it was a great decade to grow up in. I wouldnt have minded being a teen in the 70s though... if it was anything like that 70s show :P

I'm only 19 so i grew up in the 90's.

I miss how you could down the street and your parents didn't have to worry about you getting abducted.

And everything being so much cheaper haha.

And of course Cheez TV!

NBA on free to air although ABC did it much better than channel ten's "we jump ahead in the action" effort.

1. Ayrton Senna. Watching him race was as exciting as all hell. Never gave up. RIP.

3. Watching Jordan play and having to do a (fuzzy) rewind and slow-mo it just to understand what happened, then spending days wondering how the hell he did it.

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks  
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
