Grill'd FTW!

Burgers taste nice with the spread they use and the chips with sweet chill mayo is the best.

Mighty Melbourne Burger is awesome.

I just ahd BBNT last week and is quite nice too.

Nandos taste good, but the price you pay for it is rediculous and for the size you get.

True that Mighty Melbourne Burger is pretty awesome, its massive!

I'm a Turk, and only one thing really turns me on, and that's a ADANA KEBAB !!

+11111tyyy

theres a kebab place in cambelfield, on barry road. katik kebabs.. best kebabs ever!

nice and greasy like they should be :)

Only ever been to Grill'd once, but eat Nando's on a regular basis, so I went with Grill'd. Nando's has been dropping its game lately, still not bad, but for the price (especially at the Telstra Dome) you'd expect better...

Grilled was pretty lame I thought, I don't care what anyone says a burger is not meant to be healthy or fancy. It needs lots of beef, lots of cheese and lots of bacon, these ARE the rules  Once you've experience burgers in the US nothing compares......mmmm burgers...speaking of which I smashed a "No Disrespect" at BBNT on Sat night (we'll it's now called Detour).

Nando's is my pick - It's healthy and it tastes good. I like to watch what I eat and there are heaps of good options, Chicken steak, Wraps with no Mayo etc. and when I'm feeling naughty how can you go past chips with Peri Peri salt! Mav and I are on a permanent mission to steal Peri Peri salt :D Cost is a factor though.

Never had Oportos, is it any good? Some of the deals they have look good.

Now THIS is a burger -

Had O'Porto's once in Sydney, didn't enjoy it much.

I love Nando's, but the price is damn high. Nothing beats their chips and perinaise (as simple as it is).

Grill'd is also very good and I eat their more often as I can feed my partner and myself for the same price as I would pay at Nando's for just my meal alone.

nando's is good cause its an all day food.

i have to crave a burger to eat one.

oporto's was good, got it when i was staying in QLD down on surfers. got like 1 1/2 chicken, massive serving of chips (maybe to large or family cant remeber), a few sides and there wicked mayo stuff :D. only bad thing is , you either want lemon hearb chicken ? or spicy chicken ? .

i got the spicy and waited till it got to room temp, then tore that shit up.

there is one at chaddy if anyone craves oporto's

grill'd is frikken awesome thats all i can say. inandos is nice but for the price i expect some frikken awesome stuff but it just isn't. grill'd on the other hand is awesome.

the chips they have with their spices and selection of dips is top notch and the burgers are one of a kind. nandos just puts salt on some fairly standard chips  but the chicken is good.

urban burger was tops before the original owners sold it off. not much difference but there's just something i cant put my finger on thats missing or changed..ha. Its still good though

MMB.....is that the one around the albert park port melb area? If it is, that thing is a monster...all thats missing from it is a stick of deep fried butter.

    • I don't know, I've never done it that way, but 1. While it is an interference engine, there is still clearance between the valves and the piston at all points in the regular timing cycle 2. There is not a lot of distance before you can't catch the top of the valve stem any more I don't know if 2 is greater or less than 1. But 3. If it doesn't work out you are f**ked, engine is coming out to disassemble so it is a big bet.
    • Semi slicks are horrible for road use, just use a high performance road tyre unless you really need the maximum grip. Noisy, unpredictable (amazing, until they are not), expensive due to very high wear and not good in cold and particular wet. And yes, it is a thing to store cars on stands instead of tyres if you know they are going to be parked up long term.....but who ever realises that a short park is going to stretch into years before it is out again!
    • I know in Australia you'll definitely get above 30c. Parked in the shade in Summer you'll be above that. 😛 But in cooler climates, you might get that warm driving on the highway for a bit, but you'd never get to full heat temp. I'll try and find some of my historical tyre temps between Aus summer and winter (be aware immin the warmer area of Aus too.)
    • I get that taking off the head is best but that's a bit much for "just" valve seals. I was just under the impression that one would be able to rotate to TDC and be able to temporarily drop the valve without losing it and effectively having to remove the head to then recover it. I never knew people actually pushed rope into the cylinder to do valve seals hahaha So just to confirm, just going to TDC will not work? In that case I know when I do valve seals I'll maybe just remove the head and do some other things while I'm there, or just wait until I do an engine build.
