When are we going for a drive?

Hehe!

19th at OPGP?

Actually i dont have it in my possession just yet,

but it's just a matter of a few days now.

It's getting a $5000 car wash! (aka dealer delivery)

Here's Nissan Ferntree Gullys Demo car :)

Test drove it on Friday with Greg form FTG Nissan......not a colour I would have chosen on paper but

in the Flesh........Now I think all the 6 colours would look great in the Flesh....?

I have the Titanium (15th Delivery) and now wondering if I made the wrong/best choice in colour...... :D

I own a R35 Super silver Titanium. they look AMAZING, they spend so much more time polishing the paint for the silver thats why they charge $3000 extra for it apparently. I haven't seen the R35 in any other colors yet. I'm sure the other colors look sick as well. But I wouldn't change this color its a fantastic paint finish and the Silver looks awesome with the black wheels on the premium. You'll be happy don't you worry :-)

oh my bad, guy I bought mine from called it super silver titanium, got my wires crossed there.

Mine arrived at the dealers yesterday. I was supposed to pick it up on Monday but the delivery guys wouldn't risk transporting it in the rain. Here's my girl.. The Super Silver is more like chrome.. The dealer took me for a drive in his this morning and had the suspension set to comfort mode.. They are super stiff.. Very torquy down low.. And goes like a shower of sh!t.. The best choice I ever made.. I'm still smiling..

It's a titanium to the left behind mine and a white.. Not bad with close to $500k worth of cars sitting there... Tuesday can't come fast enough.. Not sure about you guys but I asked my dealer to keep the shipping stickers on the windows for my records.. Did the same thing with my Harley..

Is anyone getting their Car from FTG Nissan.........in this bunch...?

I was told it landed in Australia on the 30th March......and now can't get my Hands

on it till the 15th April....?

Just that they told me at first... " a couple of days after it lands"

When I questioned it I was told that special trucks where required

and only so many to be had...etc.....

Anyone waiting this long in this bunch of deliveries from FTG Nissan...?

They take a few days to prepare.. They take a while to clear customs.. The transporters won't deliver them in the rain as they are concerned they'll slide off the back of the truck while they offload them.. In perspective the driver of the truck had +$500K on his truck when delivered with 3 cars.. Can't afford to screw around with that sort of money..

They need to align it and make sure it's ready for you.. You just spent a lot of money on a car and your dealer wants to be sure it's perfect.. Now I've been in one all I can say is it's worth it... Hold on real tight and watch just how fast things go past.. You won't stop smiling... I'm picking mine up in two days and can't wait.. It's a few days overdue but worth it.. You didn't just outlay your money on a Tida, you bought a GTR.. The legend continues and you're now part of motoring history. Enjoy. Trust me it's worth it.

    • Hey everyone. Is there a way I can get the original window sticker (maroney label) for my 1995 R33 GTST? I doubt I’ll be able to ever get it but it’s worth a shot to ask
    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
