Well it seems RBR dont want to win the championship, rather they want to leave the door open for Alonso. From what i can gather of the Korean GP layout McLaren and Ferrari will be stronger then RBR....so Alonso can easily sneak in there for the WDC. Rather if they had pite Webber 2 laps earlier then Vettel he would have got the over and under done and the WDC would be looking a lot better for one of their drivers!

But, at least it will be good to see whoever wins it will be winning it on merit.

/...and again. How good was Kobayashi!!!!

So, both RBR drivers were slapped on the wrists...."recpect one another children" ... but this weekend is going to end in tears for RBR.

It seems clear already, this early in the weekend that they are racing themselves. RBR dont chase the timesheets on Fridays, my memory tells me every time they have been comfortably quicker in FP1 then they only ended up going quicker and gapping the other teams

So, this weekend seems to be the sphincter of the universe Rd2....Vettel wants points, is desperate for points and Webber will need this win with his team mate behing him to give him a gap to Alonso, and put Vettel out of the running. Assuming Webber, Vettel Alsonso (Maybe Kuz can sneak into 3rd???) then it means Webber will have 21 points on Alonso and 28 on Vettel....

IF, we reverse it and Vettel bags 1st with Webber behind him it means Webber only has 14 points to both Alonso and Vettel....surely this is far too tight for RBR going into the final 3 races. Dont think RBR or Webber want the win given to him....but Webber really needs to show the pace he has shown in past years at Suzuka this weekend as he has a quick team mate and its critical he beats him this weekend.

Playing with the numbers, if Webber bags a win in the next 4 races it really only means he needs 3 3rds to sew it up provided Sebv doesnt win the other 3.

So, if there are any side by side action, is it going to be another bash-clash lottery dip to see who still has a drivable car? I suspect Vettel will ptu Webber to the sword thinking Webber will protect his points lead and take 18 points...will Mark let him push him around?????

very prophetic troy.

lol, should have been a 'switch to lean map' for seb 2 laps from the end and webber cruise past for a win and a decent lead into the final 3 races.

KING KOBAYASHI!

WORD! Kobe is the man. nothing better than repeatedly dishing the chop on the same corner lap after lap after lap. he must have been a lawnmower in the suzuka circuit run off and infield as a teenager and has studied every square milimeter of tarmac on those lazy summer lawn mowing expeditions.

he's the new taku without all the senseless crashes.

yeah they are nuts. all this 'we don't favour anyone' strategy (if you can call it that) is going to cost them a WDC any moment now. unless webs can battle through (god I hope he can). come on old son!!!!!! GO WEBBER!!!!

I'd love to see Alonso take another one, I can't see it happening though (prove me wrong Fernando!).

As long as Vettel doesn't win it...

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
