I really like those rims Shan.

Hey, just say I got an MR2. What wheels would suit that? :ninja: I very rarely see anyone with decent fitment. I'd like to be different.

I'd be buying the car mainly for the handling ability though, so I wouldn't want to hinder that in any way.

Shan, the second last one looks pretty good. The other ones are nothing I haven't seen before.

lol i just realised the MR2's I thought looked nice all had widebody kits that made em not look like an MR2.

in other news...

18x9 +14 and 18x11 +0 mmmm

needs to be cleaned up and the lip repaired tho :\

^^ Not really a fan of 'meshy' style rims.

Or thin spoke wheels either, but I do like the Buddy Club P1 Racing Wheels.

over VS-KF's rocked that for 2 years and sold em for more than I bought em for.

Thinking about these:

18x10 -9 and 19x11 -9

I'd have to get the extra big mallet out to make em fit, they'll stick out of my gtr guards by 1cm.

They looks awesome!

WORK Meister style, which I like.

oh actually, you might be right... they're SSR Professors.

Lucky I asked :ninja:

track car that runs all the cooling in the front.

What's up front to cool in the MR2?

Powersteering, electrical items..?

SHIT. That blue MR2 is hot!!

Yeah, the widebodies do look a lot better. A guy I know has got a Kris spec one (i.e. bright orange) :ninja:

no as in they rerouted the cooling (intercooler/radiator/oil cooler) etc to the front of the car.

kris spec one looks mad homo compared to that blue one, even though the kit is identical. must be the stance/paint/wheels combo or something, cos by themselves they're not that bad.

as I said. don't act white when modding a jap car.

Interesting...

Won't that create lag with the intercooler being upfront... More / longer piping to go back to the engine..?

But I guess research and development would have proven differently...

LOL!

What?!

White ppl have shit taste in cars?

That's close to what I might do, except black + with clear indicators (always hated amber lenses) and lower.

And different wheels... Like the black ones you posted before with the chrome lip.

And are you sure they put the intercooler up front? I've never seen that done on an MR2. Radiators, yes. Even mine had a radiator at the front. But intercooler? The less distance the better. I've seen sidemount, top mount, boot mount, roof mount.. but not front bar.

Check this for UGLY but effective...

    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
