Power steering is gay. If I had it, you could take it. But I don't :)

MR2 powersteering is used on track car builds cos it's full electric. plus it's bang for buck better than a lot of aftermarket units. pretty easy to control on and off etc via in switch cabin. Turn it off to conserve power, turn it on for quick maneuvering (ie, drifting/racing).

road going MR2's couldn't care less, but when you remove the power steering pump and all that shit off an RB/SR/1J/2J there's a substantial improvement in engine power. Then bolt on electrical MR2 pump and instant partytime. Weight loss + response is awesome. lotta Mazda/VW/Datsun/Nissan/Toyota guys do the mod.

Reason you don't have powersteering in your car is cos it was a very expensive option, and a lotta peasant spec owners didn't choose it when they ordered the MR2. The reason it's electric is cos your engine's in the back, and your driving wheels are in the front. It's cheap for us from factory cos everything's in the front. Make sense?

lol I had 3 very long cracks through my dash after parking it in the heat one summer.. bitch to swap over :\ I recommend not pushing your luck with that..

those louvre things are cool but what the fu..gly colour...

justjap have aircon vents, not sure if they still have stock but for the time u spend looking for them and find nothing, might as well spend the $100odd and buy them brand new

R-Spec: just go for a drive, bound to find some right behind you within minutes

haha its been going strong for 5yrs. Bring it on 2011 summer!

Does a rear strut brace on an r33 make a noticeable difference? I was pleasantly surprised when I put the front brace on the car but I'm yet to put a rear on. Any opinions?

dunno, i know on r32 suspension they do shit fk all. (as expressed by sydneykid)

Yeah, i noticed an impressive difference with the front strut brace on. Just not sure about the rear one given i've seen some posts from SydneyKid which states they do absolutely nothing.

So you noticed a difference with the rear brace Grant? Can you give some details?

went to pick up a little dough mixer in my car today, at the lights, cop pulls up next to me

im thinking, oh f**k my life. (i had a paper from the boss so i was all good, just hoping they wont pull me over and defect me for the tee and the tt)

so.. i cant resist the temptation and look to my right to see if their looking, whattdya know, their looking.

crack a sheepish smile and get a nod back. that was it..

Yeah, my old gtst came with rear brace not front for some reason, when I removed it it felt sloppy around corners, with that in place felt much better, then along came front brace. That was with standard suspension btw.

You think a letter from your boss supersedes the law?

You really are a douchebag

vicroads website says im automatically exempted if a letter is written by my boss bla bla with business hours, telephone numbers and shit when i drive the car for work

have to keep it on you at all times, and of course no ridiculous hours like 9-1am etc i got 7am-5pm thats when i go to and from work, after that its cruising like a hard kent in the territory lol

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
