Coilpacks or dodgy afm. My bet is on coilpacks

Alex, start the motor then unplug the coilpack one by one, if the idle haven't changed then it's faulty

By idle change, I mean a working coilpack should make idle rough if you unplug it.

last worked yesterday, gave it a high pressure hose but not in the engine or anything .. oh had sway bars installed last night cant see that having an impact.

perhaps water got in/on them but super super unlikely

and like i said was serviced on friday last weeek so 'should' be all good..

That's only if you have a completely dead coilpack to find out which one is dead. Not when they miss at higher revs.

Would offer you stock coilpacks alex but mine are series 2 ones

i've got some stock series 1 coils here al if you wanna mix and match our 2 sets you are welcome to them

Hmmm Sau Vic membership is up. Dunno of I'm going to renew. I hear a lot if people are contemplating not renewing ;)

BUT I wanna do deca hmmmm LOL

of course you wanna renew.... for 3 years... at the dyno day!

thanks man

should be ok i got 2 full days to find aftermarket or worst case a 'new' stock set if thats what i need guna take the car out in the morning just to see if problem is still there or if it was just i dunno water got on someting it should have just never know with 16 year old cars that get thrashed haha :whistling:

If you just had your plugs changed, there's a chance one of the plugs is loose...happened to me once, back when I first got my car...was driving to heathcote, gave it some boost and it started to sound like a rexy....thought it was all over, limped to heathcote, poked around in the engine bay while waiting in line to pay entry and found the loose plug...big relief lol

yeah thats true just cop the negative feedback

but just start the fricken auction at the minimum price youd take ffs

Or start low, spark a potential bidding war, and always have the option to not sell if you don't get your price.

anyone found me an abu-esque 32 yet?

haha old school. Not hard to pull off. Type-M sideskirts/pods with r32 gtr frontbar and some crazy fitment. This was before Hamish strolled in with his fitment bizness :nyaanyaa:

Sinnister's r32 is epic win

this one is nice too, but epic low.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
