How do you know those guys have had those cars paid for by their parents? For all we know the guy could be an astrophysics whizz who's banging some hot Asian beaver from the student accom block.

Because he's at uni, so I doubt he makes enough to afford it on an income from Maccas...But I doubt he works at all anyway.

Might be checking out Squires Loft tomorrow..

As per what Dezz said.

No 20-22 year old @ Uni has that type of money.

Fair enough if the guy was an entrepreneur or something and @ 20 got onto a good deal - I'll pay that as respect.

But you can spot a student mate and there is no way all of them have got onto a good thing (which are indo or asian, not being racist, just fact)

Very, very safe bet that the parents have bought the car when someone that young steps out of a 200k+ car - particularly the international students, as it does cost a lot to send someone over here to study and in many cases the parents are loaded. It might strike up feelings of jealousy...but these students are the .001% of the population back home who can actually afford to do it. So they are even luckier than you think they are lol.

I'd hedge on less than 5% of the 21 year olds driving 200k+ cars having bought them for themselves. Even then, what further percentage of those students started life in the gutter?

His house is on the market for around 650k... When I walked in and my friend (the real estate agent selling it) told me he's a student, first thing I asked was if he's Asian... And he was lol

So what if mum/dad bought their son an expensive toy? Good for them for not wanting their kids to suffer to get what they want in life. Let's hope he does the same for his kids...

Only those ones in Dubai sliding lambos. Not ones like you lol

HAVE to visit that place sometime before I die.

And now off to trade school. Fml

I agree to an extent, if your parents want to take care of you and they can afford it then fair enough... but you've got to draw the line somewhere, i wouldn't call it 'suffering' to not have a Lambo at 22 years old lol

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
