GOOD NEWS!

THEY HAVE FINALLY BEEN SENT!!

Got the tracking number in an email today so now we just have to wait. Their ETA of 2-3 days with FedEX seems a bit out considering the tracking number says ETA 19th but meh, atleast they are finally coming! Now fingers crossed there is no problems in customs. I told them to send them in three seperate boxes so each one has a value under $1000 so we'll see what happens.

Oh that's awesome news.

Any chance we can all get the tracking number to keep an eye on our eagerly awaited items :D .

It would probably stop alot of us asking you where the shipment is at.

I could PM you all if you want (would rather not post it up on the forum for all to read). But it's getting late so will do that tomorrow arvo.

^^^ Think you may have missed the boat now.

Doubt PM-33's going to do this again after all the BS he's gone through.

Good that they're finally on their way, still working on my line atm anyway, but getting closer to being ready to install these suckers.

I can't believe im going to type this; I seriously have some bad karma or something hanging around me...

The lines were at the FedEX depot after getting picked up from Hel, BUT FedEX realised Hel had not filled out the correct customs paperwork or some shit (You wouldn't think it would be possible for any more delays right?!).

So now we have to wait until the correct paperwork is filled out until it gets sent. I sent them another email to see how long this is bloody going to take given it is now the end of the week. So the ETA of the 19th probably aint going to happen now.

Will update you guys once I know what is going on. Realistically you redo the paperwork and we should have only lost a day or two max.

I really must have pissed some one off upstairs for all this shit to be happening.

+1

Thanks for organizing the group buy though. Hopefully we'll all get the lines soon.

dont worry man they will be here at the end ..remember this guys at the end it be alright

Doesn't matter if it one parcell or five customs can still count it as one consignment and you will have to pay tax/duties on it as I found out the hard way but hopefully not....

Funnily enough the one of only 2 times I got something online screwed up it was from the Poms.

Good thing I used Paypal or they were going to screw me. In the end I got what they sent me for free so they screwed themselves

Righteo the package is getting taken to FedEX tomorrow personally by the guy I have been dealing with (not waiting for FedEX to pick it up) and they are going to send it the fastest way possible (not sure what that will be).

So hopefully have a new tracking number within the next couple of days.

Yeah my mum mentioned that the other night lol. Hopefully shall be ok..

Righteo got a reply boys. They have been completed and are boxed up, just awaiting FedEX to pick them up. If they are not sent out this week we have been offered a £500 refund so it is safe to say they will get sent in the next couple of days.

So.... do we get that refund? :/

Lol I had been thinking the same thing, I just really don't want to push my luck. Once I get them in my hands I might make a mention of it.

    • 12+ months passed so they have no obligation to do a warranty claim. It leaked from the rear circuit. Front circuit was fine, but I tried many times to bench-bleed and in-car bleed (wasted 1L of Penrite racing brake fluid) to no avail. Threw my old BM50 or whatever the standard R32 GT-R BMC is, brakes went back to normal. So from my very limited anecdotal experience, I cannot recommend HFM, even though a lot of their products looks good. Just my experience (I have a genuine Nissan BM57 in a box waiting to be installed now).
    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
