Nice work! You boys in the motherland certainly are good at organising those national meets.

But 220? That's roughly how many skylines there are in Thomastown alone. lol if only Australia wasn't so huge, and people didn't have the "meh, its just a skyline" attitude we could try and organise something like that.

By all accounts it was not easy take a look here and thats just a fraction of the problems almost didnt get the tickets because Silverstone and its piss poor managing agents would'nt send them out. and they want to host the F1 yeah good luck on that one.

That is some ridiculous negative camber. If it ain't wearing out your tyres unevenly they must be really low on pressure or you're not driving far enough!

Good effort on the meet it sure would be a sight.

Fuck this is a huge Skyline gathering.

Welldone!

When Dezz and AP organised the East VS West meetup back in 2008 that was decent.

+ the Apple Peal Carwash meet MUZTEK did, we filled up the carwash area.

But no where near 220 cars.

Wasnt anything to do with me mate i just got the car there (from half way round the world) England dont have as many Skylines as you guys have so yeah i would imagine there are more driving around on you left nut. personally id get that looked at but what ever tickles your fancy.

Its a pleasure to own one back home most times your stopped and asked questions about it almost everyday

lol i does tickle a bit at times. nah dude i was saying well done on being involved. i wish stuff like that happens here is all

A 2.5 petrol engine in the UK is far bigger than your average car and will cost you a left nut in insurance. GTR's are a status symbol!

Silverstone definately suck the wang, been there with the Ford guys.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
