Yeah agreed, this would be VERY cool. A sleeper EVO 3 of sorts!

But one flaw, this guy wants to do exactly the OPPOSITE to what you've outlined here...

He's downgrading!

NAR mate this is not an evo 3 sleeper, it looks so RICED up its not even funny- but tough. Orginally it was a glxi (bog stock lancer) now wide body with 265 in all 4 corners, screamer pipes, 3.5inch exhaust and hauls ass hard! He recent put a custom ecu from usa so he can make the tune himself. He is thinking about running e85 so can run 20psi plus of boost, jet on wheels lol

Yes he is upgrading not down grading too but i mean we all had that crazy idea that we wanted to do! I would strongly advise, speak to someone at least 25 that is still into car obviously and see what they have to say. Don't ask a 17yo hektik (stero type, please no further jokes about that word, we all get the picture) as they got on idea! Most of the ppl on hear have been through wat you are going through- Remember that advise is FREE  easier to ask for it than go to work and blow all this cash

If you allready have an NA R32... Then bolt up or all the GTR parts you can to it and be happy with what you've got.

Leave the GTR in a shed and start building it up untill you get off your P's...

OR

Move to Tassie... No P plate- turbo laws.

OR

Leave you GTR in Tassie and drive it there (in the school holidays) ha ha ha...

why would i spend all the money on th gts to make it look like a gtr and it's not worth shit, and i dont see any gts4 non turbos... i don't give a shit about the car being plated as a turbo so what its plated as a turbo but at the end of the day its only a non turbo gts powered car that has the stopping of a gtr,

say if you had a vk plated as a v8 with a six they wont touch you...

say you had a mazda rx3 but you put a piston in it they still wont touch you...

my mate has a r33 gtst but has a rb25de in it they dont touch him cos it dosen't have the power of what the plate says...

Hahaha and what do you think your GTR is going to be worth after you retrograde it to be "supposedly" P plater legal? Honestly, you're better off just driving the GTR illegally on your P's, it's just as illegal and costs you less money to do. And that's a BAD idea. You seem to be fairly under-researched in terms of Victorian road laws...I recommend having a good hard read of the relevant legislation on the Vicroads website. Leave your emotions at the door because the whole reason you want to do this is nothing short of emotional. So here's some logic to combat said emotions: The heart of a GTR is an RB26DETT and all wheel drive. You take that away from the car and the only people who will consider it a GTR are the last people you want to consider it so, i.e. the law. You'd be no better than a GTR badged GTS.

There's no non-patronising way to say it, so forgive the tone of my sentiments but what you are planning to do really is ridiculous as almost every post in this thread has pointed out. It's not like you have divided opinion where there's a chance it could be a good idea.

so what im stubborn or i know what i want.. i spend 2k on a decent daily and have another rego to pay or i spend 2k on a car i want and have it on the road, damages arn't that bad they call it a agreed value.. and i work in a panel shop anyways im here for help to build this not to have other change what i want :D

Listen to the people here who have lived life before you...it will save you alot of hard lesson learning, for experience whilst often the best teacher is almost always the harshest teacher - she gives the test first and the lesson afterwards.

haha what a joke, you have already been told and flamed enough so I wont bother giving my advice.

on the other hand autech has already done this (as mentioned above) but they didnt molester a gtr in the first place, if you find one of these it will fit the bill legally.....good luck though, last time I saw one for sale was at R31 House last year.

Do Autech have something against turbos or an affinity for naturally aspirated? The Autech S15 was also non-turbo.

wouldnt need e85 to run 20psi

i run that daily in my evo as do many others on 98

Yes they are, the other is a OS Giken twin cam head for a L-series. L-series were all SOH from factory.

Just to add - L series engines were not cross flow designs too :P

That OS giken head would be horn.

OMG I WANT TO CRY!! cant believe you would dare hurt a masterpiece. I am a R32 GTR owner and im sad because its getting fixed and i havent driven it for a week. please PLEASEEE sell the car and buy a rb25 R33. i waited till i turned 21 just to buy it. the wait is well worth it

Ok,

My suggestions are as follows since learning doesn't seem to be a part of your stunning repertoire:

1. Use 400 dollars and buy some crack, at least you will be happy when old granny's in civic gli's are frantically raping their horns to get you out of their way

2. Buy a Donkey, ram your exhaust pipe into the rear end, and watch it race your NA GTR, it would make a hell of a lot louder noise too. priceless!

3. Give me the money, I would like the entire Nagisa Auto catalogue for my GTR, pretty please?

4. Invest in zimbabwe, your money would double up within a week in their currency which would then become less than an 8 pack of toilet paper rolls in Australia

5. Strip naked in front of a mental institute and do a lil dance, they'll take you in and give you some happy shots. Similar to number 1 and it's free!!

6. Similar to number 5, strip naked with a group of people boosted by the power of viagra of which are all too eager to bat for the other team. They'll do you like the granny's in their civic gli's

7. I can't think of anything else but I think you are a natural comedian, I'll give you my recyclable bottles to watch you perform your NA conversion, and do all of the above.

8. Cut your balls off! Then if you ever get lucky with someone of equal intellectual capacity, stitch them back on and be a super cool limp dck. She would be so impressed that she might even kick it to see what happens.

So, are you sure you really want to go down this path?

    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
    • When I said "wiring diagram", I meant the car's wiring diagram. You need to understand how and when 12V appears on certain wires/terminals, when 0V is allowed to appear on certain wires/terminals (which is the difference between supply side switching, and earth side switching), for the way that the car is supposed to work without the immobiliser. Then you start looking for those voltages in the appropriate places at the appropriate times (ie, relay terminals, ECU terminals, fuel pump terminals, at different ignition switch positions, and at times such as "immediately after switching to ON" and "say, 5-10s after switching to ON". You will find that you are not getting what you need when and where you need it, and because you understand what you need and when, from working through the wiring diagram, you can then likely work out why you're not getting it. And that will lead you to the mess that has been made of the associated wires around the immobiliser. But seriously, there is no way that we will be able to find or lead you to the fault from here. You will have to do it at the car, because it will be something f**ked up, and there are a near infinite number of ways for it to be f**ked up. The wiring diagram will give you wire colours and pin numbers and so you can do continuity testing and voltage/time probing and start to work out what is right and what is wrong. I can only close my eyes and imagine a rat's nest of wiring under the dash. You can actually see and touch it.
    • So I found this: https://www.efihardware.com/temperature-sensor-voltage-calculator I didn't know what the pullup resistor is. So I thought if I used my table of known values I could estimate it by putting a value into the pullup resistor, and this should line up with the voltages I had measured. Eventually I got this table out of it by using 210ohms as the pullup resistor. 180C 0.232V - Predicted 175C 0.254V - Predicted 170C 0.278V - Predicted 165C 0.305V - Predicted 160C 0.336V - Predicted 155C 0.369V - Predicted 150C 0.407V - Predicted 145C 0.448V - Predicted 140C 0.494V - Predicted 135C 0.545V - Predicted 130C 0.603V - Predicted 125C 0.668V - Predicted 120C 0.740V - Predicted 115C 0.817V - Predicted 110C 0.914V - Predicted 105C 1.023V - Predicted 100C 1.15V 90C 1.42V - Predicted 85C 1.59V 80C 1.74V 75C 1.94V 70C 2.10V 65C 2.33V 60C 2.56V 58C 2.68V 57C 2.70V 56C 2.74V 55C 2.78V 54C 2.80V 50C 2.98V 49C 3.06V 47C 3.18V 45C 3.23V 43C 3.36V 40C 3.51V 37C 3.67V 35C 3.75V 30C 4.00V As before, the formula in HPTuners is here: https://www.hptuners.com/documentation/files/VCM-Scanner/Content/vcm_scanner/defining_a_transform.htm?Highlight=defining a transform Specifically: In my case I used 50C and 150C, given the sensor is supposedly for that. Input 1 = 2.98V Output 1 = 50C Input 2 = 0.407V Output 2 = 150C (0.407-2.98) / (150-50) -2.573/100 = -0.02573 2.98/-0.02573 + 47.045 = 50 So the corresponding formula should be: (Input / -0.02573) + 47.045 = Output.   If someone can confirm my math it'd be great. Supposedly you can pick any two pairs of the data to make this formula.
    • Well this shows me the fuel pump relay is inside the base of the drivers A Pillar, and goes into the main power wire, and it connects to the ignition. The alarm is.... in the base of the drivers A Pillar. The issue is that I'm not getting 12v to the pump at ignition which tells me that relay isn't being triggered. AVS told me the immobiliser should be open until the ignition is active. So once ignition is active, the immobiliser relay should be telling that fuel pump relay to close which completes the circuit. But I'm not getting voltage at the relay in the rear triggered by the ECU, which leaves me back at the same assumption that that relay was never connected into the immobiliser. This is what I'm trying to verify, that my assumption is the most likely scenario and I'll go back to the alarm tech yet again that he needs to fix his work.      Here is the alarms wiring diagram, so my assumption is IM3A, IM3B, or both, aren't connected or improper. But this is all sealed up, with black wiring, and loomed
