Nice to see them getting out there in the media but i think its quite unnecessary to have cops hanging around on every cruise takes away any fun and by fun i don't mean burnouts and drag races, i mean just knowing that your not being watched every second of the way, it makes you concentrate about not making mistakes in fear of getting caught by cops instead of enjoying yourself. I definitely think that Tom Painter stated some good facts and police should ease up and target individuals instead of cars makes.

I tend to think a random cop passing by who saw a gaggle of skylines would be far more tempted to infiltrate the group and pull over a car than a "police escort". Said escort is just going to stay with the group because they know what the destination is. If anyone acts like a cock they will take notes and only put the party lights on if you're doing something dangerous. If you have been misbehaving expect to be in the shit at the next stop, though.

I see absolutely no problem with a police escort on an organised cruise. Are you demonstrating responsible driving or not? There's no need to tread on eggshells if you're doing the right thing - just drive normally. If normal for you is being a dickhead (not saying it is, just IF) - that's when you have cause for concern in which case you're probably not welcome on a cruise where good behaviour is requested anyway.

Don't tell me that these guys spend big bucks on souped up, fast cars, just to drive around below the speed limit. Public roads are for safe use of the public for getting from A to B. If you want to speed, pay to do it on a race track. Get these cars off the roads, and we'll save hundreds of lives.

Does she not realise how much power FPVs or HSVs have?? Or many, many, many, other cars she sees on the road every day straight from the factory?? But no, just get the Skylines, Rex's etc off the road and we'll save hundreds of lives apparently cos we're only ones capable of going fast

    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
    • street use or race track, what hose size and why? what factors change with the hose size options ?   see most comon is an10. when you see most oem external coolers are closer to an12? does high volume oil pump like nitto need an12 or 10 be just fine
