Was going to message you on the weekend to see if you were going to be running! Awesome! Was also going to see if you are up for a run up to Winton the following week?

Winton could be a definate maybe. A trailer would really help. Will keep you posted

You will be happy to know we are tackeling the brake issue head on and I dont mean by crashing in to oncoming traffic to slow down.

I have identified that all nissan master cylinders have a 50:50 proportioning up to a specific split point. At that point it goes to a 60/40 split to the rear +3/-7. I am varifying this on the weekend by tracing brake presures with a testing kit. Will provide the graph next week. If this comes out in factory spec which I think it will we are going back to std gtr calipers on the rear not the alcon setup. This in addition to the anit dive, the removal of the battey in the front and a mild brake pad should see the braking distances improve dramatically and stop the rears from locking.

Curently we have been using a 60% reducer to iliminate the rear lock up. This ment there was a 70/30 brake split when there should have been 50/50 which then decreased to a 76/24 split upon maximum braking. Obviously not ideal but better than random hand brake gremlin.

Will keep you posted.

Will be interesting to see how you go. Is it using 4 channels one for each wheel, or just front and rear circuits?

If its up the duff it may simply be better to go aftermarket pedal box. Do you have all your fluff on the thing now, diffusers, wing etc?

I won't be driving. Might come for a watch though.

Dont want to risk $180 if I break something at winton tomorrow and can't drive and don't wanna pay $280 coz it will be less than a week till entries close.

Bit of a rip if you ask me.

Needs to be done? Basically new fuel pump, wheel alignment and service.

What i want done? New fuel rail, fuel filter, fuel reg, 6boost manifold install, plazmaman inlet plenum install, install titanium exhaust , SBC-R EBC installed, Gizzmo shift light installed, My-Chron wiring finished, new brakes put on, RB25box installed with new twin plate, new radiator and electic fans and fan controller, isntall front undertray, new upper and lower susp arms and bits, maybe try the cams i have sitting around...LOL, so much shit i have acquired for the car. To think i have sold some of the stuff i was going to install :)

LOL, the body got the overhaul after i took it off the road, but most of the mechanicals still need doing. Also want to give it a run down the qtr before going back OS, though not sure i have the time. Need to borrow some R32 GTR rims to buy some good drag radials. I want a 12.2 or better ;)

TRAITOR!!! Its all RB20 or go home :D

Wow it doesnt look good for this weekend. Sadely I will still be there sitting in a garage freezing my nutz off hoping for one semi dry lap.

Bris you keen for Winton next weekend. Both Sat and Sun have club sprints. One with Alfa and one with Jag.

Cant belive Sandown is free next weekend and no clubs are using it. Juz talked me out of enquiring for a private hire and a mass club mail out lol.

Well, me being a fark knuckle compnay man. ..my leave has been postponed and my flight diverted to Singapore to fix fark up on a job. They are telling me its will only eb a few days but that means i wont have any time to work on the car....thats assuming i am not there for my entire two week holiday before returning to Inida on the 15th ! SO depressed right now, every time i make plans and get excited, work farks them up. I cant wait to quit this job, hopefully in the next week or two. Oer 6 years with them and whilst its good to be the go to guy, other people are treated and paid like royalty, whilst...well i stil cant afford anyting better then an R32 GTST :(

Awesome session

I think it was a 1.35 , 1:18 then 1.17.02 then 17.2 then 16.6

Very impressive to watch and well worth waiting out the rain and wind.

Quickest car on the day by far, as the fat ambo said "that ice burner should go alright"

Car looks so well sorted. Have to ask, has there been a change to the final drive ratio? Looks like you are pulling gears at about the same places so doesnt appear to be that different gear wise. Your power down is so much better then before, seems to help being in 3rd rather then 2nd onto the straights as well.

So, i am dieing to find out...what is the change? Rear diffuser and wing? Change in suspension and alignment? Car looks mega stable...but i am sure there was more to your wheel work then there was your footwork :domokun:

LOL, also sounds like no more gate :) Perhaps you should do a Red Bull and plumb your gate to your rear diffuser...yeh, that it, thats your big secret :)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
