SS8_Gohan
some people are holders of said key Manildra (Fueltown) E85 all the way baby! I will prob use Caltex E85 in the warmer months, but only once Trent has had a check over it on the dyno with the fuel in. Even the variance between United and Fueltown needed a little tweaking. But i reckon get something installed in the tank to monitor ethanol levels and get an ECU to modify accordingly (interpolate between two+ maps). Basically how the the flex-fuel cars work. Just need a good enough ecu i guess. jukic.j
How has this all progressed? Lots of loose ends, posting here for Googleability. Can't seem to find much info from the Google. Where can I find current E85 prices? How has the price/economy of it changed? (I don't drive currently so I don't know the prices) Have any people noticed any ups and downs after an extra year of use? jukic.j
So it's about 25c cheaper but about 30% more fuel is used unless I muddled that figure? T.D
Heard a rumour that United is going to equip more servos with E85. Any truth in that or is it simply just a rumour? Would love to get the 33 on E85 full-time but the lack of nearby servos that stock it worries me lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/331902-e85-starting-to-look-like-a-good-option-in-victoria/page/2/#findComment-6452581 Share on other sites

R31Nismoid
More, 50-70c United E85 - 97c BP98 - $1.60 $1.60? There do you fill up I paid i think $1.45 the other day, might have been less. ULP on the usual good days has been ~$1.25 so it wasn't too much more. Melbourne is quite spoilt for E85 outlets - United has quite a few now, it's a pity the Caltex roll-out seems to have stalled a bit though. Don't really care though, as you're better off running United anyway. United in Scoresby has E85 that wasn't on the website last time i looked too. gtsttrk
Yeah I think I'm going to run E85 too, well at least look into it seriously. I'm pretty spoilt for choice with stations around me (Caltex and United). Just not sure how much more efficient it'll be. Still I'm finding that I'm paying around 1.45-1.54 for ULP. Dunno where some Of you blokes are getting those mint prices!
