this game runs on STEAM - if you dont have steam, the update takes AAAGGGGGGEEEEESSSS, 10 minutes and its at 4%

Srs note but, how's the game? All I know so far is it has dedicates servers which is awesome. Did it actually come with the ded servers or was that just a blatant lie in the ever evolving sales mechanics?

Can anyone help me?? Im downloading Black ops through steam. im getting Max 20kb/s speeds.. WTF.. I have Telstra ADSL 2 and its very fast usually 23MBit/s..

In steam settings I have it Set to download from NSW telstra.. fiddled with the content servers a bit. but still cant anywhere near fast speeds.

Ill be lucky to have this D/L by the end of the year at this rate.

any help appreciated.

its taken me 3 hours to get it running through steam i got about 15kbps. i just put up with it. i think the servers are just busy, the last 25mb of the download i got to speeds of 250kbps.

Hmmm so i've been playing it for a while and I don't know how to feel about it. Don't get me wrong, on its own it's a very good game. But i'm constantly comparing it to MW2 in the back of my mind and there's things that bothers me that I can't put my finger on.

It's just the way it "feels" if you know what I mean. Like you can easily tell it isn't made by Infinity Ward just because it "feels" different.

I dunno, it's so hard to describe. I'll obviously keep playing it and maybe I'll get used to it but at the moment I think I like MW2 better.

after 3 hours of playing. all i can say is AWSOME. i love it now, the first 30 minutes to an hour you get kill within 5 seconds of respawning, once you get the hang of it, its really fun

It's just the overall feel of the game. It doesn't feel as smooth or realistic as MW2. I dunno, maybe those are bad words to describe what I am feeling. My mate that was playing it with me was saying the same thing, we just couldn't really pick what it was.

I love all the extra stuff in it, the multiplayer system has a lot more in it to keep you entertained in leveling up as such. I just feel slightly dissapointed by it...Hmm maybe the hype just killed it for me or something.

Personally I wish it was just all the extra stuff thrown into MW2 with the new maps

MW2 is alot smoother and the mechanics just feel...........better. When I was playing MP using the MP5 it just felt like the Thompson SMG from WAW but a little different while in MW2 all the guns feel different and have their own quirks while Black Ops they all feel generic and very much recycled. I want to love this game because its something too allievate my boredom but I just dont.

yeh mw2 feels alot smoother, also the mp5k with reflex is a pain in the ass to use. best guns so far enfeild with red dot, hk21 with red dot and the famas with.....red dot or reflex

I could understand if they had it the other way around as Nikon Monarch etc make similar 'red dot' sights. Reflex sight usually refers to a more open, both eyes style of optics.

I finished the game yesterday, purchased the afternoon before. I estimate approx 5-6 hours? Few hours after work each day.

I found the game pretty good since I cant remember how the previous COD games feel since I havent played them for ages lol the aim sucks but I guess thats console FPS for ya
