Thanks, but I'm well aware that you've previously posted those results, not really any need for name calling, most of us are adults here

You are the one that name called, and I wasn't saying that was the differences so much as saying you could safely expect at least that much...

My post generally stated disbelief at the disparity between roller and hub dynos. 70KW is substantial figure in anyone's language, hence "Nigga please"

My comments weren't aimed at anyone in particular, just a general statement but when simonR32 decided to call me a dickhead, as if I had not read the thread and seen the results posted about, which I clearly had considering they were literally 2 posts above mine, what do you expect me to say ?

I wasn't commenting on what you said at all Lithium but rather generally about SimonR32's post.

as for the dig about dyno figures in perth, the fact that I seem to have touched a nerve speaks volumes, do a forum search and see what comes up, obviously I'm not the only one to make this sort of comment. (Queue 900 people from perth having a sook/teary about this and that dyno being the worlds most accurate"

In the end it comes down to the fact that when I see something I think is a bit odd, I'm going to call it straight up.

This isn't netball, like I said we are all big boys and manners cost nothing, so what's the problem.

I didn't call you a dickhead. I commented that you made yourself look like a dickhead which I think is unusual for you (after reading posts you have made in the past). If I wanted to call you a dickhead I would have, I didn't and I chose my words wisely, so please read it in context.

It must be the air in wa that makes the dynos read high because they are the same dynos with the same calibration and corrections :-)

It's ok though, my shitty 480rwhp seems to keep a few 700rwhp Eastern states GTR's honest :-p

70kw is a bit much for me I think but between two dynos even with the same corrections anything is possible.

I probably bit a little bit hard over nothing so I'm just willing to chalk this up to miss-communication

and no chance mate, we build our tracks downhill over here

I don't really have anything else to add so here is a sweet Miami Vice picture.

miami-vice.jpg

It nearly runs a 10 and two different machines measure its output no doubt on different algorithms and different variables.

Enough sooking, is don is good.

On a plus note.....

My 8374 TS IWG should be shipped this month, So early next month it should be in my hot little hands!! WOOHOO can't wait!!:worship::cheers:

I am getting a Manifold made here for it, So there will be a little wait for that.....I would have loved a Full-Race one, They are a work of art....But it starts to add up getting one from the other side of the world.

dont know if anyone can confirm this.

But i have been told by a large Aus supplier that BW may be dropping the whole EFR range due to 'internal problems" in that side of the business.

apparently they have spent so much money on R&D , marketing etc and has cost BW lots of money. and the big bosses at BW may scap the whole thing.

i know i ordered a turbo in march this year went back to supplier yesterday and they still cant tell me when one is arriving,

Given the amount of secrecy that seems to follow them I'm surprised such information would have leaked. I mean people won't even say a single turbo shat itself. SIF a full production shut down would get out.

I heard that they were having trouble with there suppliers manufacturing quality control and have had to find a new supplier. If this is correct, that would take a fair while.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
