[Closed] Borg Warner Efr Series Turbos

Lithium

Thanks, but I'm well aware that you've previously posted those results, not really any need for name calling, most of us are adults here

You are the one that name called, and I wasn't saying that was the differences so much as saying you could safely expect at least that much...

My post generally stated disbelief at the disparity between roller and hub dynos. 70KW is substantial figure in anyone's language, hence "Nigga please"

My comments weren't aimed at anyone in particular, just a general statement but when simonR32 decided to call me a dickhead, as if I had not read the thread and seen the results posted about, which I clearly had considering they were literally 2 posts above mine, what do you expect me to say ?

I wasn't commenting on what you said at all Lithium but rather generally about SimonR32's post.

as for the dig about dyno figures in perth, the fact that I seem to have touched a nerve speaks volumes, do a forum search and see what comes up, obviously I'm not the only one to make this sort of comment. (Queue 900 people from perth having a sook/teary about this and that dyno being the worlds most accurate"

In the end it comes down to the fact that when I see something I think is a bit odd, I'm going to call it straight up.

This isn't netball, like I said we are all big boys and manners cost nothing, so what's the problem.

I didn't call you a dickhead. I commented that you made yourself look like a dickhead which I think is unusual for you (after reading posts you have made in the past). If I wanted to call you a dickhead I would have, I didn't and I chose my words wisely, so please read it in context.

It must be the air in wa that makes the dynos read high because they are the same dynos with the same calibration and corrections :-)

It's ok though, my shitty 480rwhp seems to keep a few 700rwhp Eastern states GTR's honest :-p

70kw is a bit much for me I think but between two dynos even with the same corrections anything is possible.

I probably bit a little bit hard over nothing so I'm just willing to chalk this up to miss-communication

and no chance mate, we build our tracks downhill over here

I don't really have anything else to add so here is a sweet Miami Vice picture.

  • 2 weeks later...
  • 3 weeks later...

dont know if anyone can confirm this.

But i have been told by a large Aus supplier that BW may be dropping the whole EFR range due to 'internal problems" in that side of the business.

apparently they have spent so much money on R&D , marketing etc and has cost BW lots of money. and the big bosses at BW may scap the whole thing.

i know i ordered a turbo in march this year went back to supplier yesterday and they still cant tell me when one is arriving,

    • I've got some bad news unfortunately.  Turns out the car has some serious chassis damage and failed a structural report, which was needed because of a failed roadworthy.   I'm now sitting here wondering wtf I'm supposed to do with a car that I can't register and needs serious body work. 😓 Seriously feeling lost, ripped off and depressed over this.
    • FYI if interested  Brake rotors got taken down to 389mm for clearance and all things adjusted accordingly #bolton Had a quick retune of the retune to change the VCT window plus some of this and that Took 7 weeks for me to get a barrell of fuel to run my car on the track = W.A Actually attempted to drive this thing on the track after 6 months when this shouldve really been 3 monthly ago Only a few laps - stuff didnt go right because electronic aids in the car mean you drive it a certain way when its indicated they are on and they are actually not things dont go great quickly - car fixed and refreshed + thats been fixed with additional warnings and other thing built in now Noted - even mucking around at prob 60 - 70% the aero was now hitting the ground where it hadnt previously at 100% plus the balance of the car is improved - hence without shock pots etc etc you can tell the new aero additions have done something reasonably significant Suspension out - change the bumps and some packers  Tried to go out again - lightning and thunder storms / rain in Perth for the  first time in 50 years for the hour I had - didnt get out V8SC are now here so no track time at Barbs for many weeks - an going to try go down to our other track a few hours away and try to get in the seat Got the below as a pressie recently - yes I dont mind the odd lego + this is very good I think and if not into lego even can appreciate someones craftmanship of this level
    • ok will do, cheers guys build thread on M35 Stagea Tuner Facebook group here if you can't wait.
    • look up "kota the yota" on youtube he runs an export business to the us and specialises in r34's
    • I understand that the R34 ECU can be sensitive to what is going on wrt the coilpacks/loom. You'd be well advised to put a Consult reader onto the diagnostic port and read the codes. The one(s) in the ECU will be the ones most likely to tell you what's going on. The TCS light will be a secondary effect.
