I'm sure you'll get whatever you agreed on. I thought scotty might have kept the sump for the VQ35 conversion. Whats the plan, just put another stock back in, or toughen it up a little?

stocky with all my bit's.......TOW it down to VIC.....put it on a dyno and that's it! Then finish off the rest of the car!

New hi flow cat and 3" front pipe going on today to marry up to dump pipe and Legalis exhaust. No more compliance cat & stock pipe! Powahhhh!

Good stuff Dale! In a couple of weeks you will not even remember how bad the stock lag was :)

Nice Rims mate, saw them on IM for a little while and was tempted, but couldn't part with the cash! Need picks for sure once their on.

As for the Mrs part- good luck there! :(

Haha my mate suggested i get 5 sets of different locking nuts and just having all different locking nuts on them.

Be left on bricks without them in the city ;)

just started from scratch with the gizzmo EBC. it was boost cutting like a dog on the freeway if i planted it in 4th. the gizzmo was display 1.03 which i stupidly assumed was 10psi or there abouts - given that it was untouched from when i picked it up from previous owner. i was just blaming the boost cut on spiking due to the cold weather. turns out it was reading in BAR and at 1.03 its actually closer to 15psi! no wonder it was throwing out fuel like a BP oil rig, and boost cutting. also not a good idea to run 15psi on stock wheel turbo as far as i'm aware?!

set the gains back to zero and wound the boost back to stock and went from there. now holding a steady 12psi and boosting so much more strongly to red line. i dont think the car was even getting into VCT before boost cutting before!! pretty happy! in defence of previous owner, it was probably setup for tune with the greddy emanage, but given that is unplugged for now i'm happy with my settings.

What settings did you arrive at, duty, gain and spike?

already have that.

Won the motor last night.....now I just have to get it here! Waiting game begins!

Can I borrow your turbo while its all out! I hear these things can seize up if they don't get frequent use :P

What settings did you arrive at, duty, gain and spike?

i would have to double check, but from memory the duty is at 40, gain i started at 0 and by testing doing 4th gear pulls and then quickly stabbing the throttle into 5th, it was hitting target boost of 12.4 with gain at 30, so i'll leave it there. spike, i have not touched.

if you need help setting one up i found a very helpful and straightforward thread. the actual manual from gizzmo is dribble. i read it 3 times cover to cover and still couldnt work it out!

car pulls a lot more cleanly now. probably not going any harder, but the fact that i can rev it out rather than have it cut at 5k is a plus!

    • You'd want to cap off the re-entry back into the dump too. Just something flat that can be held on by the Vband.
