picked my new Fujitsubo 3 inch rear muffler to go with the 3 inch system that i got from RBD2.

gave the stagea a service and one of the apprentices pointed out that my rims are actually Enkeis.

makes me sad they are covered in mad gutter rash, stupid japanese people that can't drive!

Had all bump stops and shock mount bushes etc replaced or rebuilt over the last few weeks: it's finally finished!! Although I have yet to take it for a spin myself, my mech says it's massively improved (and that's after the Bilsteins were rebuilt)... Looking forward to taking it out for a spin later in the week... :)

Just won a Nismo ECU for my M35

Paid a pretty penny for it, but i want to get the ball rolling with this car. more mods to come soon...........

also got a nice CF wing for the tailgate!!

Fitted my new turbo to my car. Only a slight high flow but a great improvement in power over the stock turbo and not too much lag. (turbo is Sierra stage 1)

A happy man. :worship:

Ps. Thanks Craig for your help and next time someone says turbo replacement and M35, it is motor out of the car time.

awesome stuff andy!

going to take it for a track day and tell us how she goes! sierra stage 1 hey .. sounds like GCG talk

my mate said to not call him when i need to replace my turbo :S

.. he knows its a bastard engine out job.. just like our cousin 300zx's if you read other threads everything that concerns a zx usually has "engine out" 50 times repeated in the thread :)

damn i suppose that was the one on import monster for about 1150-1200$ i was looking at.

well least someone from here got it :)

how much did you secure it for in the end ?

Yes that was me, win price was $1125 :worship: + shipping + charges. it was a last minute decision, if i knew someone else was after it i wouldnt have bid on it. sorry for that!

So it will be around $1500 landed. A decent price IMO with the emanage ultimate i already have, ill have full tuning capabilities.

ANDY: do you still have a spare turbo for rebuild??

Edited by zei20l

i probably could have. but i like the emanage, had one in my S15 before. and im also a big fan of nismo products. HKS........ not as big of a fan. Not sure why.

also, i wouldnt have to go to melbourne for a tune if i went f-con lol

i will be buying an HKC CAMP 2 however! finally use one of those inputs to the screen lol

ahha gayest name ever!! lol no pun intended

yeah it will work well due to the throttle restriction removal. thats all i want it for.

hmm craigs engine 'mishap'. ill limit my boost to stock levels i think lol

im also hoping my transmission will hold up for another 12 months. 6 at least.

That's an expensive throttle restriction removal and speed cut remover you just bought yourself... :worship:

For anyone else with a highflow, Zebra is selling an Emanage Ultimate cheap, $450...

All good mate , i wasnt bidding on it , couldnt afford it atm :)

Iain thats actually quite good , because i was going to get that exact same ecu the first time it was auctioned and no one bought it .. for $1250 without + shipping + charges. so you ended up knocking off $125 of the original auction price.

so all in all you did ok.

cause thats definately within budget.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
