has anyone tried the Kando Dynamic TD06L2-20g 10cm rear on an rb25 yet?

I have an adapter to run an external gate on the stock manifold and i just want to hit 280rwkw, im thinking the L2 may fall short?

They are about $800 delivered from Kando, I am itching to buy one.

To note, the T67 wheel and 10cm housing OBVIOUSLY has no power restriction (ref Simons results) and results for the td06sl2-20g can be seen on more evos than you can poke a stick at.

Evos generally do not struggle to make 260AWKW from the said turbo on a 10.5cm rear housing and are generally on full song by 4500rpm with epic spool before that also.

The fastest evo I have driven had a td06sl2-20g 10.5cm and 272 cams, it would out rev the motor and had some serious pull from about the 3000rpm range, it had made 280AWKW on that setup and featured in a magazine. Others have made over 300awkw on these turbos with E85.

Might I add we have seen Roy get 260rwkw from an RB20 of all motors on one of these turbos, with VERY acceptable spool. An RB25 would possibly spool one of these better than your average highflow.

I have a feeling that we are fools for overlooking these turbos. I really am looking at grabing one for my 1J and having an all out balistic sub 300rwkw setup. The price of my turbo, manifold and gate will rival the cost of a garrett on its own.

Sorry for the Hijack Simon, Im going to put together a thread some time with links to your own results (for ref to the T67 rear and 10cm housing) along with evo results (for ref of the T67 combined with 20g front on a itty bitty 2L) very soon.

I have ordered a t67 to go with my 6boost and 44mm tial...

Came to this decision over the td06l2 cause of posts on a

Subaru forum where the concensuss was that the L2 was too small for the 2.5l boxer engine

See how I go if it's too laggy ill just swap on a td06l2

Thread is about Kando/Kinugawa/Kamak turbos not my results, so any results you have feel free to stick them up on here :)

The TD06SL2 is the same wheel as the T67 Simon is running.

The turbo you noted prior is the exact turbine wheel and exhaust housing.

Simon has made 410rwkw with it, no restriction.

Maybe the Subaru boys were refering to a different wheel, not the SL2.

Yeah the TD06SL2 has the same exhaust wheel and housing as a T67 but with 20g compressor and housing to suit. I would still think a T67 would be better on a RB25 and the SL2 for a RB20

410kw was a little bit of a piss take with correction on... More realistically it makes 390kw on a hub dyno and 360rwkw on a dyno dynamics roller :)

    • Hahahahah, look, your not wrong πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and thank you brother πŸ™πŸΌ jokes aside, I haven't driven the car in 6+ years and it's like I'm starting all over again, and furthermore the car is wayyyy more powerful and it's characteristics are night and day different now compared to what I remember. So I'm slowly easing myself back into the groove, the car is literally scaring me a bit tbh.....it feels like it has 200hp more than it does on paper and responds like a cammed Ls v8, and-some! πŸ˜… every single bit of throttle pedal travel and input has instant response all the way to the floor, zero flat spots or labouring feelings, it's nuts. Im shooketh, go easy on me hahahaha or don't πŸ€™πŸΌπŸ˜Š Β  Β  Β
    • If the house has ever been sold before too, they have photos from that etc.
    • I used to do that, but then I got savvy. The benefits of having your phone photos geotagged outweigh the negatives. I just don't publish any photo straight off the phone/out of the gallery/off google photos, etc. If I'm going to use a photo, other than for SMSing to fam, I will always open it on the computer, copy it/otherwise edit it and save down without the original metadata, before using it. For example, posting photos of my engine bay into a thread on here, to show someone a plug or something - I will just screen-cap the section I want to use and paste that section direct from the clipboard into the post. No metadata goes along with.
    • Yes, so it won't work for places with no photos on the net. I would have said that there are no photos of the inside of my house on the net, but....then I realised that my kids' parties would have had bazzillions of photos of the living spaces, kitchen etc put on insta and other shitmedia. So... you can see how insidious it is.
