Wow Kory those Photos look great.

Just a reminder folks, you can still buy the club DVD. The photographers take photos of all the cars so you'll still get pics of your car! PM me if you want in.

Just stick the radical out with Ben in the Nascup and my R100 Sports Sedan. Brother was also considering bringing the PRB down. We can have the track to our self's and get a clear run. Only cars under 800kg can apply LOL

i have a mate who is considering bringing his PBR Clubman (1.9ltr 20v) to the next one two, so the way its going we'll have a group full of them, bring on the radical, i've being waiting to see i of this going.

had a ball all day and can't wait for the next one

F stands for f**ked if I know. I was in that one. I can see Street, Club and Open in the rules: http://www.island.ne...nal%20draft.doc

Congrats on your time today, you were damn quick and I wish I could catch you lol

I'll have to chase up what the go with the F is. It looks like putting the points together is going to be a manual process and I believe we have a spreadsheet with each of the entrants and what class they were in. I'll try to get that sorted out in the next few days.

Maybe someone can help me. I had my car tuned by yavuz, Now on the way to wakie we had a few problems.

1: Car knocked 61 in 5th gear going from 100-120...

2: Car knocked 91 with air con on, going from 100-120 in 5th.

My cars running 10 PSI with standard turbo with a walbro fuel pump stock injectors normal AFM, and the supporting mods.

So i went to the BP filled up 98 like i always do and this time i put a bottle of nulon booster. After this no problems what so ever at wakie i was redlining it and no issues. Any ideas guys? Its got me a little worried it seems when the booster runs out of the system it starts to nock up to 25 sometimes in 2nd 3rd and 4rth should i take it to yavuz again?

Sid :D

I dunno man i dont fill anything other then BP or if i have to always a big name like shell or caltex or mobile, and always 98 never touched 95 :S. Its wierd it did it before yavuz tuned it so its not his tune i know that for sure but still i dont want to have to keep filling bottles or booster every time its out of the system :S.

Sid

So you could take it for a long drive, get the fuel as low as you dare, take it really easy though dont get the rpm high and dont use too much throttle. Best place to do this is to get on the highway and just cruise at 100kmh or so. Go until the light comes on to refill, refill with straight 98 no booster, then see if it does it again.

Try and do it so that you turn around and head home halfway through the tank so you're not ages away from home by the time its done. Not sure if that makes sense how i worded it

my vote goes to bad batch of fuel, im guessing your using a PFC?

hense the reason you no the knock number. You should have told Jez his car was parked next to ya in the pits, he had all his tuning gear with him, could have jumped in on of the passenger laps with you and takin some timing out of the knocky spots.

Deano : D

DAM!! i didnt know that LOL... the problem is when the Octaine Booster is inside its perfect. When it isnt god it hates me it will stay pretty low most of the time 25 or so but once your in 5th gear itll hate you lol. Ive been reading some disturbing stuff about knock being signs of dead engines? :S:S... Yavuz said its a clean good engine so thats the only thing keeping me sane atm..

Sid

Here's a few photos from the day that i got. If you bought the DVD i'm sure you'll be happy!

love your work Kory, the action shots are awsome, i might have to actually buy the dvd

its to bad that renew had to use a piston engine to take the win :whistling:

Buy it, it's always worth it.

IMHO they did not win, apart from the obvious, a rotary was not placed first, and I have no idea about the final official point standing. However during interclub competitions (at the club level, ie SAU or RENEWE only) a scoring method similar to below is often used.

Based on the best times of everybody, last place gets 1 point, 2nd last gets 2 points, 3rd last gets 3 points etc.

RENEW = 390 points

SAUNSW = 645 points

I'm a management accountant, just tell me what you want the numbers to say and I'll make them say it :P

Duncan - where you in HGE GTR?

thats a PB yeah!?

yeah mate, it was and by a long way, about 1 sec :D I guess the new track is quicker and those tyres are great.

sid....put your bloody name in your profile or I will call you speedwhore for ever!

Almost certainly just a bad batch of fuel, even so I would get yavuz to take a little timing out of the midrange for safety. Octane booster does very little....each bottle is 0.1 of an octane rating, so 1 bottle in a tank of 98 only gives you 98.1.....

The numbers arent quite like that but I'm sure SAU took club bragging rights for the day. The turnout of skylines was stronger than the rotor turn out and we gave a few extra spots to SAU. I think next time will have a better balance though.

edit: when i get the figures i'll try to put together and overall point score for each club and one with just skylines and rotors just for interests sake.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
