Vent holes/grill in the valley cover that allow air to flow can prevent the coils from cracking and the loom from going brittle.

That is exactly what i mean! You sir are a legend  you have saved me having to look any further :D

And yes i have removed the cover for now, vented sounds like the go... I still need to retain it to cover the coils and prevent the COZ RACECAR look as i am doing my best to stick with the stealth theme, i have seen the carbon vented items but these are of no interest.... I want something plain as always!

Loom will arrive tomorrow! Thanks Terry, appreciate the link!

No worries, btw I always chuckle when you write stealth with that shinny high mount ;)

Compare it to the 3 engine bays on the last page, its stealth enough :P

Went for a ride in this beast on sunday.

What a weapon. AWESOME street/track setup. I'd go as far to say it is the ultimate/perfect setup.

No Lag, Quiet idle/cruise, mental when the foot is down. Handling and brakes are great for the street. Love it. Well done Mat and the crew at Just Engine Management for a well sorted package.

Haha thanks Buddy, was good to catch up finally ;)

Hopefully once your weapon is ready we can go run amok more often like old time  just much louder and faster now :P

why not buy a standard and add some vents to it yourself?

Also possible.... Can drill breather holes without any hassle, just the original plastic one looks pretty shit so was going to try pretty it up a bit :P The engine bay looks good but that cover always lets it down as no matter how many times you clean it or coat it black it just keeps ending up the faded plastic colour due to the heat i guess!

scotch brite it first then prep it with a few coats of under coat, then black enamel. Never fade again.

obviously cut it up and make it look cool before hand

:(

Cost me $30 to get to work today.

If it doesn't get sorted tonight using ECU talk.

Then I am screwed! Been looking at some nice 34's

You mean mine? :P

Oh, and Just Jap dont muck around -

It was a GREAT catchup. Shame it couldnt have been longer. Im back late september. for two weeks (although one of those weeks I am in NZ), better catchup then?

Yeah, my nugget wont be ready for many months yet. Will be lucky to be end of year at this stage for run-in. But YES, we need to run amok again.

Im jealous, you seriously have the PERFECT streeter. What a weapon.

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
