Ha a bit damp at Sandown, maybe I should have booked that tray tow as well

Nah they will need it at PI this weekend. nyaanyaa.gif

I have put someone in a Nissan and from SAU in the Driver Training assessment group 6.

As its a new license and no experience listed on form.

I am putting this group out first so that they can be helped.

If they are all safe and been introduced to the track , I can them move them into group 5.

So we then only have the 5 groups I planned and everyone gets maximum track time.

I would greatly appreciate one of you taking them under your wing by signing on as a Driver Trainer and giving them the benefit of your experience.

(like dont try to brake from 200kph in the wet going into turn one at the 50meter mark)

thanks.gif

Totally worth it to see Jack and Ant sliding onto the main straight.

Icy and cold in the morning....I was shivering inside the car.

Car drove home, win win.

Looks like I'll be back their again next weekend, if not wet!

Will do the same - also only if weather is looking good!

Yeah too bad about the shitty weather, I was taking it easy the first couple of sessions then it started raining. The Z06 corvette coming on full noise down the straight sounded so good :worship: The M3 CSL was nice too. Was awesome seeing Luke and Anthony's long power slides coming on to the straight :D

John you're a nut behind the wheel!!! Nice times

Twas a good day today, good job to the boys in the skylines! First time going to an event like that for me, makes me keen to get off my Ps and get mine set up for a punt on the track, looked hella fun, especially that last corner, the few WRXs went off, cringed. Any way i can grab pics from today that are on FB and post them here? or is it easier to just re upload them to photobucket?

Damn the weather gods! Was looking forward to Sandown for two reasons, one I have a lot of unfinished business there and secondly I was looking forward to sampling my new setup at the track. Well after the day, I still have unfinished business there but I did enjoy sampling the new setup even if unleashing the new ponies in the wet wasn't what I had in mind :)

Well done to all SAU peeps for keeping it off of the walls in some challenging conditions. Getting used to a new setup can take some time but after the first two sessions when I felt confident the rain hit...basically the only session that was dry was the practice with only light misty rain falling, 1st timed session got heavier and after that just got worse. Whilst lap times were out of the window, I did enjoy sliding the car through the last turn and turn 1 and I had a ball! That being said, feeling the car twitch under full noise in 4th and 5th gear in the two straights when hitting standing water was....errrr...interesting

Also met a fair few SAU members in the pits, so was good to meet you all.

Bring on the next round with will hopefully be dry!

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
