re the results that was for the last session.

Unfort a few of us had issues during the day so didn't make it to the end.

(mechanical issues not track based issues)

so add another 5-6 cars in there.

So a disclaimer for my commentary...

in my current seat I have around 1 cm clearance between my helmet and the roof.

SO small bumps become very big ones quickly for me.

(just ask my physio)

plus I was in a crap mood as My car started back firing.

anyhow after this one I have finally cracked the big one and the new seat will def be in for Nats.

Richo had i think 2 sessions of mine on his GoPro, so no doubt he'll upload that @ some point.

There were heaps of other cameras too so hopefully more footage should appear.

Here is one Martin has already done

WORK WARNNING FOR COMMENTARY

I did just lost the plot with a coughing, laughing fit watching the first 45 seconds....nice work Martin. I LOVE the commentary. I guess that was your first session

Russ, that seems to have a lot of pull for 245rwkws.

Dont tell me you have ImayhaveanRB25butitdoesntreallymakeanypowernotrulyitdoesntitsdown50rwkwsbecauseithasoldsparkplugs-itis :whistling:

Nah mate. It's making 285rwkw's now! Since before superlap :) It's nice power haha

is that right? only 5 people in street class and 7 in 'tuner' class? everyone wins a trophy day?

that's just the last session of the day

a few cars did not make it to the end, (eg me)

plus cars like the chasers evo had more than one driver but only one drove in the last session

that said yeah not the largest turn out.

They only did street & tuner outright, street & tuner 2wd and 4wd trophies in the end I believe.

Was really looking forward to my *by default* tuner GTR trophy haha

lol: "the two sweetest word in the English language... de...fault".

bummer, still you can tell people you won the GTR class at Australian Track Battle Time Attack. congratulations. :)

and yes well done to russ and newton too. still bit of a shame only half a dozen competitors in the 2 main classes.

I got the 4WD trophy for street class by default in the end LOL.

The bluebird in my category killed a motor, and the few EVOs that were meant to be street all rocked up on semi comps on the actual day and were moved class :/

still bit of a shame only half a dozen competitors in the 2 main classes.

I'm sure now that people have seen how much fun it is there will be a better turn out in the future. I reckon it would be just as fun to do the drift course. Maybe my drift car will be ready for the next one?

After seeing it up close over the whole weekend, i'll be there next year and so will Piggaz so there's 2 more GTR's to get in Ash's way.

Shame the grip guys got screwed with sessions, WAY too long between sessions vs the intervals for the drifters. Also the morning organization was just a joke, I hope someone got told off for that.

Russ, why bother with the drift car? It wont be straight after the weekend anyway haha. What carnage that drift session was.

I told you two monkeys you'd regret not entering!

The drifting carnage was awesome. Not many events with that level or carnage in Oz, made for really excellent viewing.

It was funny, usually you see the drifters with arms and legs out, doors open and other tomfoolery...

There was none of that shit this time :D

Drift car is allowed to hit walls :) Have you seen our build in build section. Femno started the topic.

Had a good day, was depressed in the morning for sure. With the timing issues we had 4 hot laps up to 2PM. The the poor bloke running the time attack side of things was coping it from all over, he did a good job to keep us all under control.

In the arvo they improved the format after some discussion with us, and many more laps were had.

lol at the cone they put out at the end....Russ noticed it, but I think he miss interpreted which side of the cone he should be going....

Fun day in the end, need more grip cars next time around. You're all a bunch of pansies for not entering. As the track is something you cannot get anywhere else.

- The transition onto the dome is too harsh, the grassed area needs to be surface and will be ok.

- The bump out the back is too large, need cut and smooth.

To be honest I didn't even know it was there lol

    • Hopefully it ends up being something manageable, like a hone, rather than a full bore—it would be a huge relief if it’s not as bad as it looks. Hang in there; these setbacks are annoying, but it sounds like you’re handling it as smartly as possible.
    • At the end of the day, it’s all about understanding the odds and being comfortable with the potential cost, whether it’s horsepower on a build or chips on a roulette table. And I have to say, the Laine example made me laugh—some people really do embrace that carefree, “roll and see” attitude!
    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
    • https://yariksteel.ru/manual/R33/Skyline_R33_elektroprovodka.pdf   Page 18 should be what you want for the Dash Cluster wiring. Though, you don't need the dash plugged in to get the motor running. What you want is power as how GTSBoy said. You need to power the ECU. Find in the above link the ECU pin outs (Verify them before just connecting them up from things written on the internet). Find anything needing power, give it power, find anything needing ground, give it ground. Then give the starter motor power through a big cable, and bridge the solenoid on the starter straight to power too.  ECU will be on, and when you give the starter power, it'll spin the starter motor, and it should start. I also hope you have a proper stand, and not just the engine sitting on some wood. You will want it bolted down properly.
