Hey Bec/Leon/anyone, whats the link for the aasa renewal? or should i bring my expired one and have you guys do the paperwork? :P

Just bring teh same form filled out on the day and we will write your license number and renew on top.

Youre meant to do it with them, but I dont think you'll have time now, and with AASA we can work around it. :D

Not a problem as long as there are no loose items.

Often some people have a few loose bolts etc lying in the wells - not a good idea should you hit something. A flying bolt would make a fair mess of your egg.

so for those driving up on sat morning, i remember talk of the meet point usually being BP Wallan?

i'm coming from Bayside way so will be jumping on bolte etc and last time i did this we met a group at a servo complex not far into the beginning of the ring rd i believe.

but i guess it depends on where you're coming from

oh and Google says 2hrs, 45mins to shepparton, sound about right?

Timing sounds right.

Just remember there are fixed speed cameras along the way and a fixed speed camera on the main road in shep, make sure you are doing under 50kmh in that zone.

For anyone driving up Saturday morning - just remember you need to be there at 8am.

PLEASE DO NOT be late!!! :D

It should go without saying, but people in the past have made it very hard for us to sign them in and scrutineer their car while we are trying to run events. You are the one that will miss out on runs if you arrive late.

+ 1 glad i came and watched!

Just some of the pics i took!

Had a great day, really enjoyed getting the car out and having a go with a really good bunch of people - thanks to the organisers, sponsors and volunteers who made the day possible, really appreciate your efforts.

I too had a good day, even though I'm not driving again, but may enter next DECA.

Huge thanks to sponsors, committee and volunteers for making this day possible.

And huge thanks to whoever gave me a ride in the pan and wangs.

Gutted, got off a plane Thu night, went to start the car Sat morning and she was dead as a door nail and now wont hold charge. Was looking forward to volunteering and giving Sat night a nudge. So looking forward to the next one already

    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
    • I assume clearances were all a-okay?
