We're both same age and would have worked at Coles at the same year. Pretty sure i was earning $10 or so at the age of 16. I was casual too.

I want to see evidence too. I remember working at Coles for $8.70 an hour at one point...casual too lol. Pay rises because of age were always awesome. By the end of it my Sundays were around $30 an hour and public holidays were just win, the stuff dreams are made of.

I was like sub $10 and hour at maccas started when I was 15 think it was like $7.90 p/h felt like a boss back then with my $90 per week for like 3 shifts .. How times change

Contemplating on going to US again this time east & southern coasts in the next month or two but for a Euro trip, i'd much prefer to spend a couple if not more months to see and enjoy it to its full extent. So much culture, so much civilization, history.. need to take time to see it all.

However, a day or two at the Nurbering is a definite must.. We take the Fezza there, what you reckon?

Where did you end up going over the two months you were abroad?

Was 14 years and something when i started my first job at Hungry Jacks Bourke St. Mall, CBA.. was getting $4.80 p/h, felt bad man. Then moved to my local KFC at the rate you described few months later.

Wow you got jibbed... I started working when I was 12 on $7.19/hour at an independent cafe. Had $2k by the time I was 15 and nothing to spend it on. Those were the days.

I have been dreaming of getting a real car out on those roads for a while now and am happy to share the experience with anyone who will enjoy it. As long as they don't watch me while I sleep

I did 1 month in the US for the MotoGP in Laguna Seca and Indianapolis. It went: LA-Laguna Seca-San Francisco-Hamptons-NYC-NJ-Austin Texas-Indianapolis.

Highlights: Scored an incredible $10,000/night 3 story penthouse apartment in NYC by accident for the standard price of course, met Alex Craville-MotoGP World Champ, and Austin. Austin was a highlight in itself, I would rate it one of the best cities in the US, not 'texas' at all. Go there if you can, it has the best music and bar scene, very chilled out.

Then from there 1 month in Europe for my birthday as by chance 3 of my sisters were there: Country France, Paris, Amsterdam and London.

I went back just recently and visited Spain (Valencia and Barcelona) and Milano for the GP and Moto Show for work purposes. Spain is absolutely awesome. Had done Switzerland, Andorra and a few of those previously mentioned countries last year and they were great as well. Can't get enough of driving through those Alps.

Europe does have a lot more culture, but I found the people in America quite friendly and entertaining. Hopefully will get back to one or both next year.

Nothing. Just ride my bike. The 'work purposes' overseas is temp assisting my old boss but other than that I haven't worked since July. Will again eventually.
