Couple in their 60's...blind motherf**kers. Scares the shit out of me that one slip up like this could end my life :(

This is why I ride through the mountains, if I lose my life there it's most likely going to be my fault and not the stupid traffic mistake of someone who is too old to be held accountable anyway.

i'm sure the younger biker will no doubt be blamed for it most likely coz of his speed or some bullshit. any excuse to come up with another dumb ass "wipe off 5" ad instead of pointing the finger at people who don't know road rules.

should re test all people over 50 years of age i bet most of em will fail

Yeah, problem with blame is, whoever gets the finger pointing in the end, that guy is still dead. People don't realise how life affecting their decisions on the road can be, don't think they ever will until something bad happens to them. It's like the road is a theme park ride and the worst that can happen is a bump from a dodgem car.

On the topic of blame, we commonly drive through green lights at intersections / walk across pedestrian crossings without looking to make sure the cars intersecting have stopped, simply because we know we have right of way and depend on this way too much. Meanwhile, some tool running a red light could kill you and being in the right won't save your life. Sort of similar to the advice that girls shouldn't dress too provocatively to discourage being sexually attacked...you have every right to dress how you want, but you also have every right to walk into a lion's den carrying 2kg of rump steak...doesn't mean it's a good idea. Which is why you should never let your guard down when riding a bike - everyone is out to kill you.

Should re-test everyone of all ages, I bet most of them would fail.

its a 4g63 easy to tell by the head

That's what I thought, but 7 Tune posted it and think it's a 4A-GE or more so questioned it...

I was just making sure.

You can tell it' s a 4G63 from the cam covers as well.

Should have kept your EVO Nick and done this :D

    • I thought it could be an issue because the standard plate was flexing when stressed. Maybe the original gear set will hold a bit better without flex? Last time on the dyno it made around 670nm at the hubs. Now it have bigger turbo and better intake but have not been on a dyno yet. The car is being used from family trips to drag race events. So the shifts can be a little violent. It is grinding if I shift to fast so was thinking I should overhaul it soon.
    • From the factory on RB26s there's a fitting on the intake manifold collector/"plenum" that provides pre-throttle boost signal. That's how they did it back in the day, I figure it's fine to replicate it.
    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
