But you're cheating!

Them parkers are awesome, white with the slightest blue tinge.

haha true :P

yeah they the best, pity I can't use them in headlights :(

Can you even see at night! Bahaha

More or less where I always end up haha. Just end up accepting the cold facts :P.

GTI you have? (i think?). So gewd. Jelly.

Lol as for sliding... *looks outside at weather* :whistling: ...

nah tdi, gti would never get that kind of fuel economy :P

cruise? what cruise?

then again. i cant be f**ked..

you guys can stop by my house for creme brulee.

you lazy bastard

oh well ill be stopping by next weekend anyway

I usually drive with windows down so I look out the window when reversing. Also have ultra bright interior LEDs, lol, it's like daytime inside my car at night, looks like a scene out of Tron.

Those tacos look gewd. I... had some buscuits. /foreveralone

Btw sunkist, how dark is your tint man, looks quite dark :O. I need to invest in tint, have been talking about getting it for too long. Although not as high a priority as some things... not to mention winter coming up anyway :P

i have no idea to be honest. the tint is pretty shitty now though, a few scratches and theres like overspray or something :S so ill be pulling it off soon and getting it re done. probably just legal it around the car..

i managed to keep my mouth shut at the time, but after watching it, i have to say it,

fuck the people that thought that ACA interview was going to be a chance to seperate hoons and enthusiasts in the pubic's perception are stupid... it's ACA for fuck sake,

i'm sure ash said a bunch of shit that was positive, did they include him in the final edit? not once. why people on here thought it would be any different is beyone me...

ACA have a VESTED INTEREST in portraying HOONS as EVIL... end of fucking story,

One can only try Hambo, it just reasserted their position - and now the car community will give them even less support :)

Whatcha gonna get?

Looking like it'll be a VY SS, exhaust/intake/diff gears. Mate of mine tunes them so that'll be free.

Should be around 220rwkw which will be good enough for a daily (will keep stock rims on it etc) and still have a bit of poke when needed. I'll probably be doing a lot more KMs in the next 2 years so getting auto/cruise control will be win :)

get a VN uleh

EVO VIII is the other option i'm looking at... this is 20k cheaper and probably faster than the golf R (but one with basic non epa worrying mods)

think my mind is made up on selling the 33... it only sees 3-4 days a year of decent use now... i just dont think i can justify keeping it around for that

Vy ss are good few mates have them still a great shape compared to the older boat style ones.

Yeh sell it hamish it'll be even less use when the little one comes along may as well free up the $$$, maybe buy a shipping container full of nappys lol

i think the better question is why don't I have one... lol I've been asked shitloads of times, and it's like 30 seconds a week effort but in 7 years i have never been able to be f**ked lol

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
