Think the only difference between the plus and pro glove is the hard cover on the wrist strap...Dude at Peter Stevens told me not to bother with them over the Plus..

And the Pro is $250 like the Dainese Joust....

I said I want all that, not that I can afford it.

Peter Stevens' staff are crap. hard cover on wrist = extra protection and it'll match the cover on the shoulders kthx

Will do you a good deal on the plus ;)

what colour are they?

I recommend RST gloves, way more affordable than Dainese or AStars, great quality and fit a billion times better imo. UOf course this depends on your hand shape but I find any other gloves makes my thumb to forefinger movement quite restricted. They also look sick and match other gear well.

Srsly though just get something good quality that fits well, no one is going to notice if your fashion is out of line :S

i want matching fkn gloves!

It only arrived last night. Getting rid of the Daytona tonight so that I can have the excuse to ride it tomorrow huhu

you have a daytona 675?

As a fellow Tein SS user, I'm waiting for you to be my BC comparison/test mule.

But I'm guessing it's the vice versa for you...

Squeak is getting pretty bad, I may have to fold soon.

Surely someone around here has them in an r33... anyone? To be honest I'm more likely to buy those blitz ones, for the jdm respect yo

Have heard good things about them from R33 owners, but I wanted to hear from someone who had SS beforehand. If they are any stiffer I'd rather rebuild the Teins.

BC BR are good for the price.

They are in my brothers R33 GTST. I drove it around of months while he was on deployment. Firm, but compliant.

They also did very while on the track when I wound them down.

I've since driven the car while it's been in QLD. Just as good, both on the road and on the track up there.

They are much softer than any cusco / tein japan stuff. Much more compliant than old stock suspension as well.

My Greddy Type-S are basically BC BR as well.

You got hookups for rebuilding? I've heard it is barely worth it. Confirm/deny?

I wouldn't mind going a bit stiffer, if only cos of my wheels now

It's only one coilover that's squeaking, so would be worth it price wise. Bit of a gamble, cause the others could shit themselves too...probably already worn but no visible/audible signs. I have a phone number of a mob down here, who send them to Fulcrum for rebuild...

lol @ all the Vic exec tags on this page.

Ah ok, let me know if/when you get prices. Mine are knocking a bit, not sure if I should just bin them or go new

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
