Actually I have them now, and hair nets to go with them.

Tony remind me b4 committee meeting and I will bring a couple along for u to try out

M

Cheers Martin!

I have a spare open face, just in case the scrutineers knock back the old Doohan Arai as it has a few chips in the paint. And another spare Arai for mates somewhere if you need to borrow one.

As mentioned you can buy helmets pretty cheap now, less than $200 for a good one.

Maybe bring it just in case I get knocked back!

Hopefully the 4000's I got with the new T3 slots will be better, the only issue so far was a little shuddering when red hot at PI, perfect stopping normally though.

I got the new DBA 4000's with the new slots as we'll. Apparently they don't crack as easy, so fingers crossed!

well sandown park is known as the brake killer. ruined my dba's nicely lol

How can 2 (or 3) manufacturers be bringing out an identical car? Is it the same deal as those toyota/holden things they did years ago?

Probably a stupid question for all you 86 fan boys, but I haven't followed this thing at all..

Toyota and Subaru joined forces to create the new Toyota 86.

Toyota shell / Subaru engine.

Subaru version is the BRZ (Boxer Renaissance Zenith) and Scion is the FR-S.

Scion is a brand produced by Toyota for the North American market to appeal towards the Gen Y consumers.

They never did crack, people just did not put enough heat cycles through the rotors before tracking it.

Do you know what sort of times you were doing around Sandown on your first time Aaron?

Though your a bit more of a hardcore driver than me

i think 1.35 was the quickest according to the vid on my phone..

first time tracking ever with 217kw or something.

to give an idea my first time out with

168kw

2nd hand crappy hankook tyres

stock suspension

bendix ultimte pads..(they almost made it though the day)

I got a 1.33.8

So you should be shooting for low 30's high 20's

if you ever want to keep people honest about lap times you can find every-one that is registered with natsoft here:

Yeah I don't think I'd be getting close to that.

I wouldn't rate myself as a driver.

I'll be turning down the boost in the R34GT-T to 10psi so should be making about ~170rwkw

Would you be happy to be my driver trainer in the morning :D?

HOWTO: Negotiating higher salary offer - K GO

If your good at what you do, and you can justify the increase then it's easy.

If you've been doing the same crap in the last year and its industry average then good luck!

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
