Ahhh welcome to the wasteland. Have to have another cruise soon when the weather is a bit more promising.

He was killed in the truck or by a truck?

Yeah not great weather for cruising, we should do Kinglake and surrounds sometime?

He was driving a truck and left the road.

Some good routes up there, I'd be up for it. However, of recent it's a known hotspot for the popo / yellow sticker people...so the more modified of us might not be so keen. Will have a chat with Tony and see what we can do.

Sad shit that, that you can be minding your own business without a worry in the world and in the next 10 seconds you're dead through no actions of your own.

These are the thoughts that bikelinesaustralia put up with everytime we ride.

That's what I said! Truck driver probably won't get anything either

So sad

Current brake set up is F242/Rdrums right. Should me buy brakes from vtec that are F262/R239 that'll be $500. Or wait out for Type R F282/R262 that will be 5lug (means have to buy new wheels/tyres) and would cost $1k for the brakes alone.

I wont be tracking this thing as of yet, but it'll be nice to get rid of the drums. Do some deca's ect.

Leaning towards the F262/R239 4x100. Which I can go pick up right nao.

take a lesson from all the old skyline owners here. Dont spend money on parts you dont need, Get out on the track/deca first and then decide what needs to be done.

Everyone falls into the trap of building track cars for a hypothetical track day sometime in the future.

Get out there now, find the limits with current setup, then replace to push the limit further.

if it was human error / fatigue i say put him away for 40 years cos that shits f**ked - shouldn't be able to wipe someone out and get away with it

Haha I knew you'd say that...almost done.

Good call on the weather...deceiving shit.

can't wait til i am in le position in which i can afford both my car and a bike!

meanwhile in my current situation... coilpacks so expensive fffuu :P

You never win, when you are in le position there will always be more expensive things to get.

My r32 was better off when I was a student on casual wages. Now its all about budgeting & being serious with money :(

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
