Ahaha, not to worry about that, my future list of planned mods (*cough wish list cough*) is WELL under construction . Moar powah indeed.

I think stock is usually closer to 160awkw from what I've seen though. But still good gains for $in for sure.

Have been lurking many threads :P

Can't wait.

Still a long wait to go though, haha. *continues the dream*

Edit: Also how's the steak shop coming along? Feeling like a steak soon... when do you guys open? :P

I was out there earlier actually. Looks like a restaurant now, plaster is almost finished around the place so rest of the fitout should be done in 2-3 weeks.

Hope to open end of Jan and then be in full swing by mid/late Feb (won't open to capacity right away). Liquor License won't be ready till Feb anyway so it'll all fall into place nicely

brought a pioneer vsx-527-k, great a/v reciever, very cheap, 397, but took it back cos the media streaming / internet radio interface was sub ordianry

if you have an old a/v reciever and are keen to upgrade this unit is a bargain at 397. its a shame i wasnt so keen on the streaming/internet radio (even with DLNA)

the interface was clunky, cumbersome and just slow for my usage. back to vsx-522 and media monkey

its all in the gearing and final ratio that makes up for the lag

how else do you make so much power and midrange from a 4cyl 2 litre with a big single

this

with the bigger turbo, my skyline made full boost at 3200 and the evo makes the same at 4000 (dyno - 4th gear) but they both feel close to the same and the evo is a tad more responsive, despite making boost nearly 1000 revs later

Power commander and BMC filter installed.

One step closer.

What's left?

Glad I got mine running today, f'ing thing, wasn't what I wanted to spend the day on.

Damn it sounds good with the aftermarket exhaust though

Yeah for every Skyline gear change, EVO is doing about 1.5 gear changes. Such a nice gearbox though, punching 1st to 3rd so seamless

Waiting on the o2 sensor eliminator, and the replacement indicator wiring adapters to arrive.

Once I've got those I can put it all back together and it should be good to go. Gotta get down to Vicroads and get a new plate for it too, cars etc can all be done online but for some reason they make you go into a branch for bikes ffs.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
