yeah ours used to be fun, then the fun police cracked down and everything had to be PC

hell at one point we had to have it logged who was giving who a gift in case there was a HR complaint.

(and that was HR complaining not the person receiving the gift that receiver could think it funny or good, but HR could make a case anyhow.)

so it's not run for a few years, hopefully its not out of control these days.

Yup there was a year where we got emails from VECCI (HR organisation) of court cases and complaints due to inappropriate KK presents

So we also had to scale down

Some people just need to learn to laugh and not take life so seriously that you complain about everything!

I don't want a office job anymore.

f**k just saw a motorbike rider down in the gutter on doncaster road, must of happened right before I got there, was people around assisting the person, hope he/she okay.. scares me away from motorbikes everytime I see something like that..

for you guys who ride (i know alot of you do) is it as dicey as they make it out to be on tv?

:(. hope the poor bloke is alright.

dicey is relative i suppose, as a lot of your safety is up to you when riding, i feel. have to be mindful of anything and everyone. doesn't matter whose fault it was when you're going to come off worse! that said despite not having a huge amount of experience yet, still think riding is excellent fun, #noregrets.

Nah not even, If anything you feel more aware and safe on a bike. Besides, I see way more accidents involving cars than bikes.

more aware, probably. more safe? debatable i think, haha; car vs. bike, pretty sure we'll always lose out! and more accidents involving cars is a given; probability with the majority.

Someone find me cheap loud catback for 34 before I plonk the fgk back in later.

Pretty please.

fgk?

How cheap is cheap? I actually might have one just sitting in the garage I have to check haha.

Nah not as bad as people make it out to be. The longer you stay in the game the more dangerous it is, though. Your riding style and attitude plays a huge part in susceptibility to accidents and sometimes you can be the best/safest rider in the world and have some shit luck when some Asian driver doesn't see you. It's too much fun for you to constantly be paranoid about all that though.

Colourclassic that might be because of a larger proportion of cars on the road lol

Even if fewer motorbike accidents than cars, they do tend to be more serious for even small bumps!

Ishan, fgk is fujistubo giken, and by cheap I mean 50-150, haha.

Martin, I ain't buying anything from justjap, shit service and bloke there gave me few retarded and unrelated answer to questions I asked.

Haha thought it might be a Fujitsubo. If I do have it still, it's a 3" Kakimoto with like a 5" canon or some shiet haha... definitely loud. I'll let you know if I has.

Birds when are we going for a ride?

JustJap have been nothing but awesome in all dealings I've had with em. Even sent back an exhaust system that didn't fit my car cause my chassis had a ding in it (prolly forklift or curb) and they gave me full credit for it despite me sending it back wrapped in cardboard.

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
