I want a nice small wallet that only fits cards and notes. Don't carry coins anymore

Check these out then.

http://bellroy.com/

know there a place on Clarendon street st melb that stocks them

can find the name if you like.

you cant avoid coins though. topping up myki on the fly, paying for beers over the bar, parking ticket machines, milk bar etc.

I'm looking for a new wallet cause the zip that holds notes/coins in is stuffed. so sick of dropping coins everywhere. Have a spare wallet but nowhere to put coins or even notes securely.

coins go in my pocket til I can dump them in my car or drawer

not even...standard headbolts will suffice as long as threads are tapped clean and correct (not OEM) torque is applied and retorqued after 1000kms or so.....its around 75ft/lb instead of factory spec'd 55 ft/lb iirc...

the original design was based around an asbestos HG...new laws disallowed this at the last minute toyota had to change their gasket design to not contain asbestos....unfortunately this meant the torque specs should of changed but with no time for RnD on the new gasket it didnt happen...so the average lifespan is about 100,000kms.....OEM Headgaskets have been redesigned a few times to help solve the problem but (some) aftermarket gaskets have of course copied their design by now so most quality branded ones will work fine.....The real issue is in the torque specs...

and that concludes todays lesson on ye olde 7mge boys and girls...

its funny coz its true

yeh, I knew that, but I thought the usual fix was to bin the OEM ones anyway in favour of new ones and ARP don't cost that much anyway

Tending to use a money clip these days though, with all the money I'm making. #ETU

You sure it's not cos all the other cashed up bogan tradies use them? :P

Yeah, quite liked the coin pocket in my old wallet, coins can come in handy a surprising amount. (Lol pun intended)

But no coins pocket is just so slim etc. So now I do the same as above, into pocket (bonus if pants have coin pocket) and then into car or onto my desk once home. Accrue small fortune and all dat.

Downsides include I can then sometimes forget to take said coins, and they never get used and end up having to break a note; resulting in acquisition of more coins. Dat cycle.

Cows are okay, but we need to find another 80ish acres to store them for 6 months until the grass starts growing again, otherwise they have to be sold as there is no feed for them anymore

Been shit though we are stuck at home, all the roads are currently blocked off so if we go into Kilmore or Wallan we can't come back home, even though there is no risk to our place anymore

Power has been off for 2 days straight now too, so running a generator to have at least some power

Good news for single brahs

“Australia has 100,000 more females than males even though there are more male babies born than females, and there are more males than females until around age 35,” he said.

Prob because all the aussie guys are dating foreign girls. And the girls don't want dat asian time

who knows man, I know it will be quite a bit considering all the livestock. A lot of people will need to sell and lose heaps of money because they don't have the feed and prices will be extremely cheap because everyone is selling. Then all the buildings etc that did get burnt, adds up quickly

100,000? 0.4% of the total population.

just look at the life expectancy: 76-78 years for male, 84-86 females.

I dont have a % for women older than 78 but it could almost compete with 0.4%. Not to mention life expectancy of aboriginal men being in the 60's i think (aboriginals are now around the 500,000 mark of our population).

Also need to take into account the number of lesbians, which may or may not compete with the number of gay males. and also cat ladys, but wont have a % figure on that.

not everyone, as some as hobby farms (like ours) which aren't under business insurance

Damn perhaps theres an off chance there is surrounding damage covered under house on contents insurance :(

Haha I had a chuckle at this

i avoid carrying coins, the end result is you make a trip to the bank every couple months to make a deposit.

Same here, I normally empty my wallet of coins each day and just put em in a tin or something

$2 coins I sometimes leave in there though lol

Bullshit. You get change for your notes, it comes in coin form, you carry it home. You're a coin carrier, whether you like it or not.

Thus for all the note only hipsters, a wallet with no coin spot is impotent and futile, as it defeats the point of a wallet in the first place, which is to keep all your shit together in a neat spot. So unless you're going to spontaneously offload your change coins onto some unwilling recipient right then and there, you might as well carry coins and notes and cards all loose in your pocket, or buy shit that adds up to exactly a note, or get a wallet with a f**kin coin spot.

I don't need a cigarette I'm just always pissed off.

    • Well you could certainly buy or build an enclosure for a pod in that corner of the bay. It is absolutely vital that there is a nice big opening to let cold air in to it from the front or underside, otherwise it will just pull air in around the edges from the bay, and if that air is hot, you gain nothing from enclosing the pod. There is lots of good evidence around (including on here, see posts by @Kinkstaah for example) showing that pods pulling hot air from the bay is only a problem when you're static or slow in traffic, and that as soon as you get the car up and moving the air being grabbed by the pod cools down. Although that will obviously vary from car to car, whether there is a flow of cold air to the pod or if it all has to come through the radiator area, etc etc. Obviously, the whole exercise requires as much thought as anything else does. Doing the lazy thing will often end up being the dumb thing. The stock GTT airbox has a cold air snorkel to feed it from over the radiator. Shows that Nissan were thinking. The GT airbox is upside down compared to the turbo one, yeah? Inlet at the bottom, AFM/exit on the lid? That might make it harder to route the turbo inlet pipe using the GT airbox than a turbo one. That would probably be the main reason I'd consider not using it, not that it is too small and restrictive. I'm looking at a photo of one now and the inlet opening seems nice and large. Also seems to have the same type of snorkel that the turbo one has. Maybe all that's required is to make a less restrictive snorkel/cold air inlet, perhaps by punching down through the guard like I did.
    • Also seen this as an option
    • I get you, we’ll see I’m aiming for 200ish kw now and hopefully 300rwkw down the line after some upgrades maybe like headstuds, E85 flex fuel etc  so trying to make it final for that now, I can get a GTT airbox for $280 so it’s not too bad but not sure if there’s better ways to spend that money. I seen online they say pod filter which isn’t enclosed isn’t good especially for a plus T.      hard to say what to do
    • Meh. How much power can you make from a +T anyway? I wouldn't have though it would be enough to challenge the airbox. It's not as if it's tiny compared with the turbo one. As to putting a pod in a stock airbox .... it's not the filter element that would be restrictive. It would be the air inlet to the box that would be the narrow point, which you could open up regardless of what element was inside. On my R32 I opened up the sort of triangular opening in the bottom front corner of the box, deformed (heated, moulded) some 4" stormwater pipe to fit to that opening and punched a 4" hole down through the inner guard to the spot where the stock intercooler used to be. This was purely in the search for a cold intake, but you could do something similar if you need to open up the inlet side of it. The AFM tube size is the same for both NA and turbo, so the outlet from the airbox is same same anyway. If you're going to do the right thing, then an aftermarket ECU won't care about the AFM (ie, you can get rid of it). But even if it was still there, people pull >300rwkW through them all day, and I suspect you won't be going there.
