f**k that,
having a break tomorrow...

had to go to a vcat hearing a couple days ago lol.
customer had bought a fridge from us 6 or 7 years ago.
fridge didnt work, issued 3 warranty call outs, in the end we agreed on a refund.
dude rocks up with a munted fridge, claims it fell off the truck but its still our fault that it fell off the truck.
then trys to get the full refund out of me,
in the end i offered him 1300 which he declined, kept it for 2 years and had to scrap it.
then takes me to vcat for $2700

ended up settling on me paying him $850 lol

mate was interested in it if it was cheap enough

she wants $12k with no rwc, no rego, car looks like balls, and a wrecker engine, dreaming

Offer her $50 and a crack pipe then?

As long as the compression is good that would be a decent deal I would have thought

Car looks like shit still compared to when I had it, also going by what her previous car looked like it's no surprises it looks like shit

I like dimple 15 but for the same money I prefer Glenlivet 12

if you want to start, minimum spend on a drinkable whiskey is ~$50

for a beginners scotch @ $50 you can usually get glenlivet 12, glenfiddich 12, dimple 15, balantynes 12, or chivas regal 12 - any of these are very approachable drams

If you are happy to spend the coin I would say the best one to start on would be Glenmorangie 10 year which will run you about $65

best value would be JW black for $38 @ dan's but this is a) not as nice as the above b) much peatier, which is not as beginner friend

Thanks, will probably give the Glenmorangie a try. Best way of drinking it? On the rocks?

Mad they've got more money than most of the people in there...

Incorrect.

They EARN more money than most people in there, then spend it on a maloo, a jetski, a dirt bike, piss and hookers and then leave the mines with nothing to show for their wasted years :P

    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
