+1 to painful arms when they're under petrol for a while... Mine were burning like crazy!

That said I had started a bunch of engine mods and forgot that I shouldn't have had a full tank of fuel. Mine was literally about 80% full.... Mistake!

I was putting in a Bosch 040 into my R33 and the screw clamp I put around it was bulging out a bit in the wrong direction... Took me ages of arm immersion time to figure it out... Ouchies! yucky.gif

done it again tonight...i can still drive it its just got no guts, the turbo carries the car along...its sounds like a flooded motor...just a deep missing sound...thing is sometimes when i rev the shit out of it as i up the revs it corrects it and the car goes properly then when i take my foot off it does it again....i pulled the bonnet up and the motor sounds fine...it sounds like the exhaust...i am lost...i might have to take it to someone to get it looked at...only does it sometimes...

sorry afm.. u have one lol

i know theyre renouned for stuffing up, though u cant really tell by looking at it... change it with a "known" good one

i hopoe its not because i wouldnt know the first thing aobut how to tune it...lol...ill go over the maf tonight...and ill see how involved it is in getting the injectors off and ill clean them too...it needs a good service anyways

Take it to a dyno, give the operator ~$80 to throw it on a dyno, check your boost, check your power, check your afr and potentially find the problem for you.

More often than not a failing afm causes starting and stalling issues with the car.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car

    • All my Polish car culture insight comes from watching Nightride. So I half expect this to get 1UZ swapped eventually?! Are you going to drive it in winter? I'm always curious how ATTESA would hold up in the snow. There isn't that much opportunity to try it in Australia.
