Heh v/nice car man...

Also saw a white r34 citybound along north east road in front of the OG hotel/OG oval. Driver gave me thumbs up, i was too busy perving on the car to react

-D

spotted a few dark r33's at lobethal on sat nite while i was taking a spin round looking at lights

didnt recognize any of em so i didnt stop, anyone from here go?

hey i live in lobethal and christmas lights is shit just got my car bck from shop last thursday and been workin since havent even had time to strech the legs yet and got to go like 50 all the way from woodside to lobey turn off then wait like 15 minutes just to get up my hill and do a full detour due to traffic restrictions it blows, except for all the nice cars around :(

Spotted what I reckon was Darkhorse's black R33 parked on Rundle street at lunch today.

Also spotted a blue R34 GTT heading up Grenfell St about 12:45. Had a GTR badge  pity apart from that was nice. Wasn't bayside blue though, looked like it was repainted in ford Blueprint with some sort of pearl?

Lee with a kit etc?

Would be the one ive been seeing alot lately, normally cruises around with a hot black 34 and a white 33 with decals. Not long brought over from Sydney from memory. Nice car. Its more of a glitter-blue.

Yep sounds like it Flick. Had kit, mags etc. I only saw it from about 40m away so didnt get a real close look, but the R badge on the back still stuck out

Is it a 260 Steve? I saw a black one like Ben's in Synergy, maybe they sold it?

Went into our favourite tyre place today only to find that Chris has sold up and gone  Don't like the new people there unfortunately, Adam is still there however, top bloke ;)

awwwwww I was going to see Chris this week to get some new rear tyres - my rears are bald in the middle - not sure how that happens  .... damn , now where local do we go for tyres?

pretty sure the one i say Luke was just rs260 wing or copy

no idea about tyres, chris did tell me i can ring him for tyres and he cant get tyres but cant fit dont know how reliable he will be on this

Run less pressure Andrew, if its getting bald in the middle then its got too much air in there. Which means your not even seeing all the rubber on the ground!!

unless he is doing uber-burnouts like the top fuelers and the wheels are spinning soooo fast that they distort and all that hits the ground is the centre

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
