sorry I should have posted it straight in here, saw the sticky after I posted.

edit:

Is it possible to get the topic title as the first item in the email notification like it used to be?

Currently it is:

New Reply: DVS JEZ

when I look in my email, but that means I have to open the email to see what thread was replied to, what would be nicer is:

New Reply: "Hypergear Hiflow Service Continued.".

Is this possible to achieve? the main issue is Gmail doesn't group the emails based on topic, it just floods my inbox with an email for every single reply, if the topic is the same then it groups them all together.

Hope someone can help, this was an issue with the previous forum software many years ago but after a request someone changed it.

Thanks.

I can't seem to log into SAU via the login with facebook button anymore, it comes up with this error..

[#1090091] An error occurred while trying to authorize this Facebook connection.

I had to log in to type this with my lurking account that I made AGESSSS ago lol.

If this error can't be resolved, please deactivate this account so I can use the e-mail to make another account under my usual name or rename this account the same name as my usual name

My user is

JDMKiD__/ⓞⓞ-33

feel free to search it and maybe even put my stats or whatever but I'm not super bothered.

Thanks

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but it wasnt listed on the first page

On attatched images to posts (maybe just with people who have a large sig) There is a line about 1/4 of the way down the top line of attatched photos and anywhere below that line I cant click on the photos. So if there is two rows of photos, I cant click on the second row of photos at all

example in this thread:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/397602-how-to-replace-a-timing-belt-202526-pics/page__pid__6312364#entry6312364

Can post a screen shot if needed

Anyone able to help with this? Really would appreciate it, means I miss a lot of replies in topics as I just don't check my "content I follow" very often.

Thanks again, I am enjoying the new layout though, much more stream lined.

using chrome (ver:19.0.1084.52 ), i get the same problem. its overlapping on the signature. once i hide the poster's sig, i am then able to click on any of the pics

Also regarding the pics attatched to posts, is there any way to get rid of the photo without pressing back on the browser? Most sites you can just click outside the photo area and it closes the photo

I'm not sure if I'm just doing it wrong or if this is the only way to get out of the photos. Not a major issue but thought I would ask anyway :)

im still not getting email notifications, is there any fix for this?

For any one else with this problem i found that you have to go into your control panel and set it up so you get email notifications again, every thing seemed to be set so no notifications will be sent.

Yep this was all I had to do.

Email notifications are working fine now.

You need to re-enable them however. Christian has created a simple guide:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum-253/announcement-32-pranks-illustrated-guide-to-email-notifications/

yep that is very helpful. but there is still a problem that is a real pain:

the topic is unhelpful - the subject of the email should be changed to the topic title to allow common emails to be grouped.

Yeah I mentioned that earlier, it is quite a simple fix if someone would let me have access, I'm guessing nismoid won't though haha.

    • Bit of a pity we don't have good images of the back/front of the PCB ~ that said, I found a YT vid of a teardown to replace dicky clock switches, and got enough of a glimpse to realize this PCB is the front-end to a connected to what I'll call PCBA, and as such this is all digital on this PCB..ergo, battery voltage probably doesn't make an appearance here ; that is, I'd expect them to do something on PCBA wrt power conditioning for the adjustment/display/switch PCB.... ....given what's transpired..ie; some permutation of 12vdc on a 5vdc with or without correct polarity...would explain why the zener said "no" and exploded. The transistor Q5 (M33) is likely to be a digital switching transistor...that is, package has builtin bias resistors to ensure it saturates as soon as base threshold voltage is reached (minimal rise/fall time)....and wrt the question 'what else could've fried?' ....well, I know there's an MCU on this board (display, I/O at a guess), and you hope they isolated it from this scenario...I got my crayons out, it looks a bit like this...   ...not a lot to see, or rather, everything you'd like to see disappears down a via to the other side...base drive for the transistor comes from somewhere else, what this transistor is switching is somewhere else...but the zener circuit is exclusive to all this ~ it's providing a set voltage (current limited by the 1K3 resistor R19)...and disappears somewhere else down the via I marked V out ; if the errant voltage 'jumped' the diode in the millisecond before it exploded, whatever that V out via feeds may have seen a spike... ....I'll just imagine that Q5 was switched off at the time, thus no damage should've been done....but whatever that zener feeds has to be checked... • I think Fitmit had some, have a look on there (theyre Australian as well)
    • Hah, fair enough! But if you learn with this one you can drive any other OEM manual. No modern luxury features like auto rev-matching or hillstart assist to give you a false sense of confidence. And a heavy car with not that much torque so it stalls easily.
    • Actually, I'd say all three are the automatic option. Just the different trim levels. The manual would be RSFS, no?
