Get a 33 four door and flaunt it. Bit*hes love them. That's how I got my missus, then I bought another 33, 2 door though. The 33 as a first turbo car will not disappoint, it goes well and there is a lot of knowledge on them, also the aftermarket base is huge, the people who bag them are simply retarded, well to an extent, the 33 feels lighter to drive than the 32, but the 34 is still a great car, for what they go for on the market I'd probably buy one if I didn't love 33s so much.

But at the end of the day you might want to factor in rego etc for your final choice.

Hope you find the right one.

L O L Retarded?...says the kid saying buy a 4door bitches love them.... "thats how I got my missus" I wouldnt call dragging a girl into your 4door getting a missus...also a 33 feeling lighter then a 32 is like saying a a patrol is lighter then a micra. R33's are like a luxury sports car, 32's feel more like a go-cart.

Placebo effect...thats what that is...

A 33 will do everything a 32 will...

haha yep, sugar pills!

You take the R33 - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take R32 - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

^ i think thats why the r33 takes the cake.

i also look at my r33 gtst sometimes and think, crap thats an ugly whale shaped bastard. but then other times i look at it and i swear its like a hot girl undoing her bra, winking at me, with high heels and a tie on.

IMO i think the r33 has the best ass of the lot, the r32 has the best front, and the r34 has the best sides..

If ppl think you can beat r33 for money over performance your crazy under 5g these days if you look around spend Another 5 got a reliable weapon. How can people say 32 gtst nd r34 gtt look so much better then r33. The 32 gtst and 34 gtt look half done because there missing the wideness that the gtr have.

Now the gtr thats diff story 32 and 34 look better then 33 gtr but 32 gtst and 34 gtt look plain imo without wide body front and reAr whereas 33 gtst can get away with it abit more with good offset and low since its more curvier and wider.

Thats my 2cents anyway.

No one said there shit, there Engine and drivetrain is awesome, thats why its all in my 32

Then you've pretty much lost your weight advantage anyway, so there's no point harping on about 32's being lighter. They will still be a bit lighter, but not anything that's going to win you any races.

I like 34's. That's why I have one. /thread.

To the op the answer is a simple yes. A 33 is a brilliant turbo car. Pound for pound I doubt you could match it.

The engine, drivetrain, suspension and brake combo was/is far superior to the 32 and the interior particlarly in the series 2 looks very modern compared to its predecessor.

body styling is subjective and very much to personal taste. I certainly wouldnt be influenced by comments from anybody (other than my wife) simply because I buy my cars for me.

There are still plenty of good examples of the 33 around if you're prepared to wait for the right one. Be prepared to pay that bit extra for a good one rather than a cheap rape victim and you wont regret it.

A few simple mods can enhance the driving experience to no end, A decent front mount and a boost upgrade Is all required to add a fair bit of spirit to the drive. Throw in a set of sway bars, lower it slightly , add a decent wheel/tyre combo and you have a well rounded very easy to live with package.

As for the 3 shapes in question I prefer the 33 over the 32 or 34 but that is as I said a personal thing. Any of the gtr's look great because of their phatness, Its the gtst/tt's that cause the most conjecture in the looks department.

Too many times I have looked in the rearview mirror thinking an early model ford laser was following me when it fact it was a 32. The 34 reminds me of a pencil, its just too narrow looking to my eye.

They are all skylines and all have their advantages but I prefer the 33. You like chocolate I like vanilla. Enjoy your icecream any flavour you like.

I just bought my r33. Best car i have owned so far. Whack a pod and exhaust and they sound brilliant. Dont even need more power and it lights up 2nd. Go for one. Can pick up a series 2 with sub 140,000ks for under 10...

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
