Wow, what an amazing day - thanks to the organisers and can't wait for the next one.

I knocked off 20sec, 20sec, 10sec, 10 sec 7sec each run then had to back off because of oil temps, but i'm definitely hooked to track days now so much fun.

^^^ WOW!!!!

Great day...blew a wastegate hose on the way up and on the way home my exhaust has decided to mate on to my chassis and is making horrid noises..Im guessing that's what Roy was complaining about..

Not a single problem on the track though, go figure..

Took half a tank of E85 and 60lt in drums..did 16 or so laps and drove home on a full tank.. @ just over a 1$ a ltre I'd say that's pretty good value..

All in all was most fun I've had in ages :D

Weather was spot on.

Bugger about the oil down (2 hour delay) and the crash at the end.

Heaps of new faces. Sorry to those we couldnt get driver trainers for, there were just so many of u!

Had a great time, caught up with a bunch of you. Saw some cars and didnt talk to everyone, just so much going on!

The next event it during WTAC weekend, so i will see u again at WINTON.

Good thing i took the car off the track when I did. was pretty nasty driving home. not sure if clutch or synchros. still had lots of fun and probably spent more time on the road than the Chaser's Evo...\

crash? who? what time?

weather was great

disclaimer going up now.

results won;t be up for a week.

I'm out fo town for a few days so won;t get a chance till next weekend.

Rexy wagon came off into the wall at turn 12 right at the end of the day.

but i'm definitely hooked to track days now so much fun.

Your life is no longer your own haha

probably spent more time on the road than the Chaser's Evo...\

Was a final test day for them. Now they're going to make that mess of a front bar into dry carbon. They had a broken windscreen too. Random.

I cracked one years ago from sandown ripple strips haha

What happened to your car today mate?? Your car looked and sounded awesome, love your work on the front splitter.

what an awesome track, this was my first time at PI so I am happy with my times and still so much more left in it, need more balls.

thanks to the organisers, officials and photographers. also thanks to John for showing me around in my first session  Does anyone know when the next PI day is? I have found PIARC and MSCA events in Sept so I think I might aim for one of those events.

Only managed to get one session in before the water return line from the turbo decided to $hit itself. BOOooo!

Hoping the engine is OK... Drove back though with a replacement part brought down by a friend. No water usage at the moment (not yet!!!)

    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
