Not good at all feel very sorry and angry for you. time for another group buy on the gps/sim card tracker things id be keen for a couple one for the ute and one for the new stag. does any one know who can get them.

Also a worry as isn't an immobiliser supposed to be installed as part of compliance? I know my R33 and M35 both had something installed by the compliance guys...

I believe so. Although I have seen quite a few R34s out there when I was on the market for one, didn't have alarm or immobilizer. My 34 I picked up didn't have any security at the time. Got a basic system on the following day, and with the recent spike in car theft (reports here and JDMST), I've upgraded my secs.

Mongoose makes them.

The M80 kit with the VT604 GPS module addon. This is CIA stuff. Live GPS tracking, sends your phone a SMS when alarm has been activated, GeoFence where a car cannot travel outside a certain area to even having the ability to immobilize your car by sending a SMS to the car.

I've looked at many kits but I'm pretty sure the VT604 does what I've said. If not, there are kits that do that.

Edit: Confirm VT404. http://www.mongoose.com.au/products/gps-tracking/vt404-vehicle-gps-tracker-.aspx

AFAIK M35 compliance doesn't include immobiliser. There's a thread about M35 and immobilisers..

I rang Japlink re my M35 and they said it's not a compliance item...go figure..

The one I had ready to install was the M80 G Mongoose alarm, which i was going to have installed by a good family friend.

What makes it worse, there was a yellow Dayz edition Stagea parked next to mine, they took mine :/

If they don't find it, do I get another Stagea?

I wouldnt say the installers, thats just bad for business id be more looking at wreckers and importers, sorry to say but these cars are rare in comparison to most other cars. even driving down the street most of you would say your cars turn a few heads and would stick out like dogs balls. If a few are going missing fair chance there is a chop shop setup somewhere supplying parts for the rest of aus. *just my opinion*

Not in SA. There have been a number stolen and then used as getaway cars for robberies, but I didn't think as many lately.

I guess they've worked out they're high powered and can store everything they can steal?

Will keep an eye out mate. Hopefully it turns up un-molested

I work for jaycar and can get damn good group buy pricing on their GPS trackers

+8 pricing is $110

Here are the specs if anyone is interested i may organise a group buy PM me if you are

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
