Great choice in cars mate. Same as me. Au wagon daily and 32 GTR weekender.

Can't wait to see more progress.

Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing the other day.

Got my Ford AU wagon which is so smooth that I could almost fall asleep driving it :turned:

It is such a practical car, I even think I may be able to use it as a tow car for the GTR.

Yep, I will be taking progress shots of the build as it goes along which is very exciting.

I'm hoping to do the same thing but the tow bar on the wagon at the moment is only rated to 1600kg so i need to get the bigger one.

I guess I will have to get a stronger toe bar then.

Thanks for the info.

Awesome. Exciting stuff :)

Look forward to the pics of the build.

Can't wait to see this thing come together, any idea of time frames yet...?

Bring on the pics Anthony!!

Yeah guys, me too!

Not sure on time frame yet, but will swing pass the workshop tomorrow, so hopefully can get some progress pics then.

Cheers,

Ants.

So I went passed the workshop yesterday.

Engine is almost out, and should be able to take pics early next week. So just need to be patient.

I'm kind of beside myself now because for the first time in 3 years I cannot do any work on my car! That's ok though because there is always something to do at my place!

I did however, managed to source some front outer dust / driveshaft boots for $19 each as the front RHS boot is split.

Peace.

!!NEWS FLASH!!

Got a phone call from Gav today and told me to get to the workshop.

So here goes....

FU CK ING AWESOME man! Cant wait to see what this will do.

Thanks man.

I can't wait either, but all good things take time.

It's really good to finally realize something I have been wanting to do for a looooooooooooooong time.

Next couple of weeks are going to be very tantalizing.

Nice!

btw did the oil pump come with the engine? If so wonder why Tomei didn't use their own?

Anyhow. Looking forward to how everything goes!!

Must remember that the advance spec is the little brother of the Genesis RB28. So it does not come with the Tomei Oil Pump and extended sump.

I did enquirer about getting it put on when I purchased it - but decided to deal with that at a later stage.

Nismo oil pump is better than N1 so I am happy with that..... for now.

Just need to be patient now (as hard as that can be :woot: ) and let Gav do his magic.

Is what you like about that green GTR the fact that it's clearly a GTT with a GTR badge? :P Engine looks fantastic man!

Ahhhhh someone has keen eyes!

Yes, it is a GTT.

However, it not only has the GTR badge it has a full font end kit on it i.e. bumper, fenders and hood. Brakes are also from R34 GTR.

Not sure what's under hood yet, but I will ask Gav to find out :P

Thanks for the nice comments.

Can't wait t'il its all done.

Are you sure it has GTR fenders? They look like GTT to me, but then the front bar matches up quite well. So either the front bar has been modified, or they are GTR fenders like you say and my eyes aren't quite as keen as they should be :P Even the bonnet looks like it has been chopped rather than a factory GTR one, but that could just be an issue with the catch that throws the fitment out.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
