Haha cars not finished yet man, waiting on my general lee flag on the roof... It's so close its driving me nuts.

But in saying that I got pulled over so much in my 33, there are pics in the "worst looking yankee propaganda section"

That's pretty sick, that must of cost ya a fair bit though. I tried looking for pics but the forum for "best looking NA" is massive!

Thats really odd cause my cousin also has a R34 with a loud exhaust (little riced up as well), 110db and cops never pull him over either. I mainly see them pulling over unroadworhty cars like old bombs. I guess its just my area. N/as dont really attract much attention anyway. I know sometimes the cops run rego plates through the system before pulling you over to see if the engine is classified as turbocharged.

Yer it did mate more money then ud imagine lol, and pics are litterally on the last page of that thread half way down.

Anyway we're getting off topic

Come back when a set lasts a max of 3 laps drifting.

Where is the fun in that?

Come back to me when you can actually drift and not just talk big cus you made a pretty number on a dyno. Power is overrated

I actually agree with this, whats the use of having power if you dont utilize it properly. Big power for drifting is extremely unnecessary and a waste of money.

I have 2 friends that had n.a skylines one a 32 and the other a r34 and they attended a lot of drift days yes they were under powered but the lack in power equated to a very well developed driver skill and they can both driver extremely well so don't think I can attend a drift day just because it's an n.a there are many ways to get around the lack of power for drifting

Sure, but it's great fun being to stomp on the loud pedal and disappear into a cloud of smoke

PS: My cars don't go on dynos ;)

Unneccasary but it looks wayyyyy better... Blazing fourth gear with more then 45 degrees angle looks way better then an N/A that's back in 2nd and if you're lucky 3rd (On a BIGGGGGG sweeping corner)

Yup, I'll take big power.

Plus, there really is nothing quite like unleashing 350+ RWKW...

All you N/A owners may one day find that boyish like joy you get from spastically powered cars, when you start understanding that N/A skylines are slow...

Well it depends on what your after, if youre just drifting for fun, getting that adrenalin rush going side ways then 300hp is more than good enough. If youre into hard core drifting full competing and shit then yea go big power but its gonna cost ya a butt load of money. Going through tyres like theres no tomorrow.

This is a stupid comment, im going to talk on behalf of most N/a skyline owners here. WE"RE ON OUR BLOODY P's! N/a skylines are the closest we can get too without breaking road rules and regulations by purchasing a gtst/gtt or gtr. Sure talking about modding an n/a skyline sounds stupid to you guys (like exhausts and cai's), but what else can we do? we crave performance and want to abide by the laws at the same time, we are just like you. Its not like we cant afford a turbo or anything, i would of been more than happy purchasing a turbo'd skyline but cant. N/a skyline was the best i could get being a Japanese car enthusiast. This is something 95% of the people on this whole website wont understand. Most of the people here have been able to purchase turbo'd cars the day they got their p's. So yea cheers for your insensitive comment.

Calm down, breathe..... Breathe lol. I had an NA skyline (still do in fact) and I thought it was the bees knees. Unfortunately there not... And people in the "performance" world don't respect or appreciate them, in fact if they had there way they wouldn't exist at all, it doesn't matter how clean they are... It's sad but true.

If I had p plate restrictions I would be getting a NA ported rotor.... Definitely going to be the fastest option you've got.

Yer, but u can only have a 12a... And there expensive.

Engine mods on P plates are illegal.

Shame that's not you driving. And the fact you picked a poor example of n/a drifting.

The reality is, if you go to Japan, n/a drivers are more respected because of the skill that is required to drift. Look at all the 86's that drift.

It takes no skill to 'unleash 350+kw' any f**kin bogan can put his foot down. But to throw an underpowered car into the same lines takes 100% more driver skill.

And if your car doesn't go on dynos you're gunna be spending money on more than just tyres...

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
