Tony those mods look great! I wouldn't mind upgrading my two-part front camber arms to single-part items at some stage.
Yep I just saw the 80% rule too, sucks bad. Looks like there's a Maserati Club Come and Try on Dec 10, not a great date and not sure if you can run full pace there either: http://www.maserati.org.au/event-2372776

Wait that event says its free?

Like literally free lol? hows that even possible

jealous all your cars are working and ready to race..
I just blew my turbo LOL.
Mr Blah, you interested in Intima brake pads?

What happened? i saw that your turbo blew. Is it a hypergear turbo fault or?

Do the pads fit a r34 GTT? Got a link and price?

I think more so over spun the turbo and too many track days, kept running it at 1.7bar :)

I told Tao how much boost it was running and he's still pretty happy to fix it on warranty - now that's service!

Sure do, they're advertised much higher on trak-life.com/shop but during December we're offering free delivery for front and rear set of SR Pads for $199 or Type-D Pads for $269

Jsut PM me or e-mail me at johnny (AT) trak-life.com with your name, delivery address, phone number and I'll shot you back an invoice if you're interested

wow your car looks great!

better use that clear film shit on your front end so you dont' get rock chips on the track

LSD will be day and night difference, you'll actually have traction!

Ok so picked up the car. Car feels like normal cept a bit of chirping going around tight corners.

Did a few test runs, full noise 1st and 2nd, All traction and no sideways action, just chirps and goes straight. Oh yeah!

And this is with rock hard suspension and -2.7 camber on the rears. 265 ad08 tyres a few years old.

Can't imagine what id be like with less camber and some new 295 tyres on

First shakedown at Sandown on the weekend.

First session had issues with misfiring. Changed some spark plugs seems to help. Also only did 2 laps. Thought i got black flagged but it was the car passing me

2nd session - Cooler pipe blew off.

3rd session - Cooler pipe blew off

4th and 5th trouble free and just learning the car again. Did the same time as when my car was stock on shitty tyres LOL

Surprising at Sandown i have issues putting down power in 2nd. But is fine on the street. I also seem to have tune stuttering issues which goes away eventually when the car is warm

So have ordered same Hardrace rear camber arms to dial out the -2.7 camber to something like say -1.0.

Will also look into fixing my cooler piping issues. Possibly have a visit to Havoc fabrication

Nice to meet you Tony and see your car in person on the weekend. Your car is damn fine. Reducing the camber will def help with traction, so would setting the pressures correctly. I think the surface was a bit slick on the weekend as I also had more trouble trying to put the power down with semis than what I did last time on street rubber.

Do you have a theory why cooler piping keeps coming off? Wiping grease remover over silicone joins and piping usually sorts my issues popping off because of super fine oil coverage.

They are just crap intercooler pipes with a millions pieces + it runs back as a return flow style. Came with the car when i bought it 10 years ago.

I just but an extra 2 hose clamps on it and it didnt come off. We did put beads at the end a while back.

Didnt come off on the street in 2 years at this power level.

But on the track, came off at the exact same place, boosting in 4th and 5th which i spose you dont do on the street lol

Damn. I thought scotty fixed all that up? (Or am i thinking of someone else?)

Scotty just made a intercooler U bend on the intercooler exit.

My piping is still a shambles though.

Considering this:

But unsure if it will fit given i have a bigger radiator and oil cooler on drivers side.

Or can just go full custom for $700

give Abe from Havoc Fabrications a visit, he has made plenty of "no hole" FMIC kits for S14/15 with a Proflow cooler for under $1k

Yup that is the plan, getting a mate to have a look over it, if he can't do the fab work ill be going to Havoc :1312_thumbsup_tone3:

Small update

So a few things. Need to fix the rear camber so ordered hard race rear camber arms.

Also rear end bearings were gone so apparently it is easier to order a full HICAS delete kit:

Over the next month will also do a custom cooler piping job and custom airpod box.

May also do Sandown this month but not sure yet

    • Given you're running a 2.8 and my 2.5 is not really like for like, I suspect there could be a bit more timing you could give it. What is the kW yield per degree you're putting through it? Here's my E85 map to give you an idea, where it was I could still get another 3~4kW per degree thrown at it.
    • It turns out that Setrab make a fan specifically for the oil cooler which is great and I've installed it with minimal swearing. I removed my 2x 12in push fans from the front of my aircon condenser and wired them into this. My main thermo fans kick on when I use the aircon anyway and would effectively already be working as puller fans through the condensor which is infront of the rad. The push fans (understandably) didn't really do much in the config they were previously in so now they're out. Now we're on to the "Oil fan doesn't really do much either!". Yes I'll duct it next if it does nothing in heavy use which it shouldn't. But hey, the object exists and fits great and is cool. Let me have this. The car is still in the "do my fittings leak oil now? do my wheels actually rub?" phase. I did a spirited drive on them and didn't hear or feel anything. Then I got back home and noticed there were grind marks on the inside of the rims, though I couldn't see where they were touching I got out the grinder and attacked the suspects. Note: I do not know how to use a grinder. Then I realised I had dragged my new rims across my concrete driveway before I did this drive. I didn't think I had damage at that time when I briefly looked...... but remembered this occurred after I did all the angle grinding. The grinding on the wheels in some very specific spots. It's not around the whole rim for example, which lines up with dragging it across concrete more than hitting a suspension component for even 1 full rotation. So everything is currently painted and taped up and I need to test it some more to see if it really IS rubbing, but from inside the car it doesn't feel like it is. In other news I attempted to do a before and after comparison of the heads/cam upgrade thing. Dynos lie, everything is in different measurements. Here is the data from the sandown back straight. Car go faster than before. Vroom vroom.
    • Here's my base ignition. +3 correction to redline when shooting water/meth which is always on. Looking at my old ignition table, I should be able to add 1-2 degree's next time I'm on the dyno.  Let me know your thoughts.
    • Given what I know now - same haha, but this was 12 years ago with second hand 740cc Nismo injectors in my S15 daily, I was too busy hunting elsewhere for the issue to even look at the injectors, running through some cleaner was a happy coincidence haha
